⚠️ New legislation affecting owners of banned dog breeds is coming into force later this year.
From 1 November 2026, owners must not leave children under 12 unsupervised with an exempted banned breed dog in a private setting. The change aims to reduce the risk of serious injuries to children while promoting responsible dog ownership.
Our in-house RVN and Pet Behaviourist, Rachel Green, welcomes the focus on child safety and reminds owners that no child should ever be left alone with a dog, regardless of breed.
