A little update on how the wrist and arm is doing 6 weeks in.
Attended fracture clinic today and had a X-ray. The plate is secure and holding the wrist in place. Wound is healing nicely, limited movement in the arm and wrist . Lots of exercises to do as pre physio to get it moving and to re-educate my brain to start using it. The ulna bone hasn’t yet healed this may take another 6 weeks. It will heal by itself. Coccyx is improving, but this is still causing sciatica nerve pain in my leg. Back at hospital physio Friday 29th. Then back to see consultant in 6 weeks.
One bored and frustrated dog Walker (Spared you the buttock pictures).

A little update on poorly me. Attended the hospital yesterday and surgery dressing removed , they are pleased with how the wounds are healing. I’ve a further dressing on until the weekend and then hopefully just the arm support. I can try twice a day to do a few gentle wrist movements but no using my arm/wrist for another 3 weeks and to wear the cast . Still bruised and swollen, still feeling painful, not really much movement. Back at hospital 20 May for X-ray, Hopefully cast removed. Coccyx really bruised been told at least another 8 weeks for that to start healing. Seeing physio to try and help with nerves in leg due to coccyx . Rather bored and feeling sorry for myself

Good morning all,
Just to let everyone know that Sue Halkett had a nasty fall in the garden yesterday and has shattered her wrist and broke her arm. We came to the hospital yesterday and after examination they kept her in and is due for surgery to straighten everything and put a plate in this morning. We will have to look at the walks once she is home which will be later today or maybe tomorrow. We will do our best to sort things out ASAP.
