I often say to people whose dogs are returning for another visit, 'we can't wait to see him/her/them'. It's not said as a throwaway pleasantry - I mean every word of it every time I say it. Fran and I regularly have the 'who have we got next?' discussion and the answer is always a source of joy and excitement for us.

You can imagine our excitement a couple of weeks ago when the answer to that question was Georgie and Loui!!!

Georgie and Loui visited for a long stay and considering the duration, the odd storm and the recent rain, they have yet again aced their boarding skills. Shadowing my every move for over a fortnight, this dynamic duo have been amazing although they often try to walk, with strength, in opposite directions which means I now have arms like Mr. Tickle. Nevertheless, Fran and I have enjoyed every second of their stay and.......you've guessed it....we can't wait to see them again! Thanks guys. xx

The other doggy that stayed with us recently gets his own post on account of him being a newbie.

Introducing the beautiful apricot Cockapoo, Rex. Considering this was Rex's first time boarding with us, it was as if he'd visited a previous 200 times!!!! We became instant buddies and engaged in an infinite number of ball games.

Rex was an absolute gentleman and we sincerely hope to see him again. - Thanks, Rex.

Catch Up!!!

Hi all. Since my unwarranted suspension from Facebook, we've had visits from no less than 5 doggies!!!!

The four in this first post are returning visitors so I hope they all wont mind sharing the post with other doggies.

In no particular order other than clockwise from top-left, we have Enzo, Willow, Dora and Luna. (Congratulations to Willow's hoomans who got married while Willow stayed with us). All four of the afore-mentioned were as awesome as ever and we loved having them all stay with us. Until next time....###x

Following a month long ban from Facebook, Meta have kindly restored my account with an apology. It really brought home the fact that on these platforms that we rely on so much for business and personal contact with others, we are not the customers - we are the product.

To my friends with business pages on here, make sure you have admin access from a second personal account incase the algorithm falsely suspends you.

I have to take my hat off to all of our boarders who have stayed with us through the record-breaking hot weather this year. It's a long day for them when their first walk is early morning, their last is late in the evening and it's too hot to do too much running about in the garden. So well done to all of them including our most recent visitor, none other than the wonderful Bertie!!!

Like most of our visitors, Bertie doesn't need a behaviour report because he does his hoomans proud on every stay with us. This time, Bertie was subjected to some Marillion and some Talk Talk, both of which he seemed to enjoy. He had to go home on Friday as we don't really do sport and what with England playing tonight, what can a doggy do?

Anyway, thank you, Bertie, for putting up with my Dad rock - it was worth the biscuits eh??? Enjoy the match tonight and we can't wait to see you again soon. xx

As many of you will know, I have built a pet management system app for people in similar businesses to my own. Pawtal HQ is something I’m very proud of. My original management system that I was using for Paw Power was built by a ‘proper’ coder, my Brother, Paul. It served me well for the best part of 4 years and for that I am grateful. Cheers, Kid.

The new system that I now use for Paw Power was made using Paul’s system as the foundation and Pawtal HQ is a further extension of that.

Anyway, would you believe that the above is just an intro to this post? The actual purpose of this post is to thank Mollie Milner from MM Pet Services for kindly testing my system and giving me awesome feedback that has been absolutely invaluable in the fine tuning of this app. I have recommended Mollie to many people on the basis that I've seen her a couple of times in passing with her dogs and I could immediately tell she is passionate about what she does. So, if you need a dog walker, pet sitter or require equine care services, I can honestly say that Mollie is one of a very select few people that I would trust with my own pets (if I had any). Thank you, Mollie - I really appreciate the help you’ve given me.

Last week (and some of the week before) we had a long stay from Paw Power regulars, Molly and Benji. If you think they look cute in the photos, you need to experience their presence. They have absolute hearts of gold and are so well behaved.
If their hoomans are planning to watch the Handmaid's Tale spinoff series 'The Testaments', don't bother. They've seen it!!! 😂 They are ready for series 2!!!

Anyway, we look forward to seeing Molly and Benji again very soon and will miss them until then. Thanks guys. xx

It's been a Jack Russell bonanza lately!!! No sooner had Beano left than Dash arrived on the Paw Power doorstep. Dash is one of our more 'senior' guests but he's not thinking of slowing down any time soon. He's as spritely as most doggies that are half his age. He can also match their appetite too!!! We had another wonderful week with Dash and he gave us both some awesome cuddles. Thank you, little man. We look forward to your return. xx
