A de-shed isn’t just about the shampoo and blow dry! 🛁Brushing conditioner through the coat in the bath is a step I’ll never skip. It helps loosen dead undercoat, improves slip and makes it easier to remove that excess coat ✨🐶

This is Shadow 🖤 He’s a very nervous boy, and we’re taking things one tiny step at a time.

We started with nail trims, and now I’m able to brush him and trim his paw pads! 🐾

Shadow is such a lovely boy who happily runs into the salon, but he can become overwhelmed very easily. My priority is making sure he feels safe and never pushing him beyond what he’s comfortable with.

There’s no rush, no pressure and no expectations. Just building trust, creating positive experiences and celebrating the little wins along the way 🤍

Hopefully, one day we’ll get to a full groom, but we’ll get there in Shadow’s time. Because it’s not just about how a dog looks when they leave the salon, it’s about how they feel while they’re here 🖤

A cute groom is a bonus, but feeling safe, comfortable and loved will always matter more 🥰

🦷 Don’t wait until your dog’s teeth are bad before you start looking after them!

Dental care is something that should ideally start early in your dog’s life. Just like us, plaque builds up on their teeth and over time can harden into tartar. If it’s left untreated, this can lead to gum disease, painful infections and even periodontal disease.

Dogs are very good at hiding dental pain. They can still eat and act completely normal even when their mouths are uncomfortable ☹️

Starting a regular dental routine while they’re young helps them get used to having their mouth handled and makes it much easier to maintain their teeth as they get older 🥰

Prevention is always better than waiting until there is a problem to fix 🦷🧚✨
