🌟 World Vet Tech Week Spotlight: Lucy Mulley 🌟

It’s the final day of World Vet Tech Week, and who better to spotlight than our very own Head Vet Tech, Lucy! 💙🐄

With 8 years at Castle Farm Vets under her belt, Lucy is now the boss of our fantastic team of five vet techs! 👏 She brings a wealth of knowledge and experience to the role, juggling her many responsibilities while keeping the team on track.

From calf vaccination programmes (one of her favourites!) to supporting our vets, clients and the next generation of RVNs, Lucy is a real asset to the practice.

🐑World Vet Tech Week Spotlight – Meet Tia!

Today we’re shining the spotlight on Tia! 💙

Tia has a busy week at Castle Farm Vets, balancing her role as a vet tech with studying towards her Level 3 Diploma in Veterinary Nursing, with the aim of becoming a Registered Veterinary Nurse (RVN). 🩺🐾

Her veterinary nursing studies also complement her work as a vet tech, helping her build on her knowledge, develop practical skills and gain a greater understanding of animal health and care.

Tia spends two days a week on the small animal side, where she helps with nurse consults, patient care and monitoring, including patients under anaesthetic. Thursdays are a mix of studying and working as a vet tech, alongside one day at college. She also helps out as a receptionist, so there’s certainly plenty to keep her busy! 🙌

As part of World Vet Tech Week, we’ve been asking our vet techs a few questions to find out more about their roles, what they enjoy and what life as a vet tech is really like. Tia has also given us some insight into her weekly routine!

A big thank you to Tia and all our fantastic vet techs for everything they do for our patients, clients and team. 💙🐾

💙 World Vet Tech Week – Meet Caroline Colling! 🐑

Caroline has been part of the Castle Farm Vets team for 5 years, and there’s more to her role than you might think! As well as being one of our vet techs, Caroline is also a Suitably Qualified Person (SQP).

From helping farmers to learning new things alongside the vets, no two days are the same! And apparently, one thing she couldn’t get through the working day without is Lily and Joanne’s cakes… 🍰😂

We asked Caroline a few questions to find out more about her role, her favourite animal and what she gets up to when she’s not at work!

Swipe through to get to know Caroline a little better. 👀

A big thank you to Caroline and all our brilliant vet techs for everything they do for our team, our farmers and their animals. 💙 British & Irish Veterinary Technicians Association - BIVTA CVS Farm Vets

🐑💙Celebrating World Vet Tech Week – Meet Hetty Hutchinson! 💙🐑

Next up in our World Vet Tech Week series, we’re introducing you to Hetty Hutchinson! 👋

Hetty has been part of the Castle Farm Vets team for just two months, but she’s certainly hit the ground running! With sheep breeding season well underway, she’s already been busy working alongside our Advanced Breeding Team, getting stuck into the action. 🐑🧬

We’ve asked Hetty a few questions to find out more about her role, what she enjoys about being a vet tech, and what life is like at Castle Farm Vets.

We’re delighted to have Hetty on the team and look forward to seeing her continue to grow in her role.

Keep an eye out for more of our vet techs throughout the week as we celebrate the fantastic work they do for our practice and our clients! 👏🐾
