Introducing Margot and Dot, who were just 8 weeks old when their owner found us while looking for a licensed daycare. Finding a licensed daycare is actually a lot trickier than you might think—there are plenty of unlicensed ones out there, so always make sure to do your homework just like their lovely owner did! 🏡🔍
They are now 3 years old, and time really does fly! These girls are such characters. They absolutely adore each other, and they’ve also made some great friendships here at daycare. Funny enough, while thinking about their friends, it just dawned on me that most of their besties are actually our own dogs:
* Nikki (Ellie’s dog)
* Missy (Dolcie’s dog)
* Tiny (Emma’s dog)
* Oreo & Rufus (Sam’s dogs)
They also absolutely love Dexter, who has already featured in our puppy to now posts! While they are definitely the girls’ firm favourites, they also love Luna and Zara, who will be featuring in our “puppy to now” photo updates shortly, so keep your eyes peeled! 👀❤️

Woodland walks, the secret ingredient to a truly happy dog 🌲🐾

Sniffing is one of the most mentally tiring and satisfying things a dog can do and our private woodland gives them the ultimate opportunity to explore, investigate, and engage their incredible noses.

Combined with open field time, our woodland sensory walks give dogs a rich, varied, and stimulating day that a standard walk simply can’t match.

And how about this absolute cutie? 😍 Meet Oreo! 🐾

Oreo first joined the Pet Care Cottage family as a tiny pup for 1-to-1 puppy training with Sam and Emma—especially helpful for his first-time dog owners! It wasn’t long before he transitioned right into daycare, and he has been a regular fixture ever since. 🏫✨

Even though these photos show the classic “puppy to now” glow-up (and he’s now 3 years old!), he has completely defied aging. Oreo has kept his exact same puppy looks and still looks identical to his very first day here! 😂🥰

We love having you around, Oreo!

This is the ultimate “puppy to present day” transformation, with a whopping 8 years between these photos!

Meet the handsome Peran! Peran is still a weekly regular here at Pet Care Cottage, alongside his sister Teg (who also started as a puppy!) and Bear (who you’ll spot in his photos too). 🐾

Peran is such a good boy, still full of fun and energy! His wonderful owner also might just hold the title for Sam’s longest-standing customer. Long before we helped care for Peran, Teg, and Bear, we also looked after Molly, Ziggy, Elvis, and more (we’ll have to get the full list of names from Sam, as that was long before our time here!). ❤️

It is such a huge honor to be trusted time and time again with these precious family members. Having customers stay with us for over 18 years is the truest testament to what we do at Pet Care Cottage, and we are so grateful for this amazing community. 🏡💕

✨ Have you been part of the Pet Care Cottage family for a while? Drop a photo of your pup in the comments—we’d love to see how much they’ve grown!

Meet Cassie. Sam’s latest client.

Nail trims can be a massive challenge for some pets, but Sam worked her magic to get the job done.

Safe to say, both pet and owners left very happy!
Huge shoutout to Sam for another job well done. 🌟

Next up in our spotlight series (and keeping with the Doberman theme) is the fabulous Frankie! 🖤🐾

Frankie started about 5 months after her pal Dexter, meaning these two have literally grown up together. Watching their bond form has been so beautiful—even if it got a little crazy at times! 😂

Both Frankie and Dexter were actually turned away from other daycares simply because of their breed. To us, that’s wild! They are absolute sweethearts and have been an incredible joy to have here. All of their friends—from big to small—are definitely glad those other places said no, because life at daycare just wouldn’t be the same without them.

Now at 3 years old, Frankie brings non-stop fun and big personality wherever she goes. We love you so much, Frankie! 🥰
