HOW TO BOOK AN APPOINTMENT

With my online software, it is incredibly easy to book a human or canine clinic based appointment.

Once this is completed, an online form is sent to your email with a questionnaire for some additional information in regards to your appointment.

As an osteopath I treat musculoskeletal conditions from neck pain, back pain, shoulder pain and almost everything inbetween.

Using a mixture of hands on techniques including soft tissue massage, mobilisation, manipulation and dry needling, I am able to give patient centred and focused treatment with fantastic results, just take a look at my google reviews!

Some action shots from my treatment on Seamus at Bogenraith earlier this week.

Here I am working through the forelimb and looking to open up through the shoulder blade and stretch through the thoracic sling and upper ribs.

I think we may be on the last week or two of wearing shorts and the gilet has made an appearance! Won’t be long for trousers, thick socks and the winter boots are back 🫠🥶.

WHAT IS OSTEOPATHY!

A question every osteopath gets asked, on a daily basis. I like to explain it as a mixture of all the best manual therapy techniques in one place. There will of course be differences between practitioners, but I feel like I have found a great formula that gives results.

As the founder of Osteopathy, A.T. Still, famously said: “Find it, Fix it, and leave it alone”.

I like to use a blend of massage, mobilisation, manipulation and resisted stretching. I also use dry needling on humans if I feel it is appropriate and will help the client.

The same techniques are then applied and adapted to be used on animals. Luckily horses can stand on 3 legs allowing me to move the 4th around.

I cover Aberdeenshire for horses, with my human clinic based out of Brathens Eco Park, Glassel, Banchory.

My tallest client!

Mr Cash certainly is at the top of the list at around the 18hh marks when he lifts his head, he turns more giraffe than horse! Not sure the pictures do it justice, but his withers are over my head!

Thankfully he’s a very polite chap with good manners and seems to like what I do. Always pulls some great faces too. His brother isn’t too small either. Certainly need my wheatabix when treating these two 😁

We would like to say a huge thank you to everyone who came along to our evening unaffiliated SJ last night, it was by far our busiest night ever and was a brilliant fun filled evening! We already cannot wait till the next one 🤩

1 YEAR in Aberdeenshire!

A slightly belated post, but it’s incredible to think that we have now been in Aberdeenshire for the last 12 months. Moving up at the start of July 2025, what a year it has been. With a very hot summer, followed by an extremely snowy and wet winter!

Weather aside! I have been lucky to have many great human, equine and canine clients and getting to explore the north and even south at the same time. Covering from Moray to Angus and everything in between.
