🚨 NEW SERVICE ALERT 🚨

We're excited to introduce VETERINARY ACUPUNCTURE with our vet Naomi! 🐾

What is it? 🪡
Acupuncture involves inserting fine needles into specific locations of the body. The technique used by Naomi is known as ‘Western Veterinary Acupuncture’

How does acupuncture work? 🩹
Using fine needles, we stimulate sensory nerves in certain areas or muscles of your pet, this produces several effects, including:

-Increased blood flow to the area

-Nerve and blood vessel growth in the area

-Reduction of pain sensation of the area

-Release of stress and pain-relieving hormones (endorphins, serotonin, dopamine, oxytocin)

How long does an acupuncture consultation take? ⏰

Generally, the first session will take between 30 and 45 minutes to allow full assessment of the body and muscles as well as the actual needling. We can normally perform acupuncture without sedation!

Follow up sessions normally take between 15 and 30 minutes.

If you have any questions or would like to book in, please don't hesitate to get in contact with us 📞 📩

INTRODUCING OUR NEW PET OF THE MONTH FOR OCTOBER 🐈‍⬛ ❤️

Josephina’s story 🐾

We first met Josephina earlier this year when she came into us with a brachial plexus injury which left her with very little function in her left forelimb at just 3 years old!

Following careful consideration and consultation between her owners and the veterinary team, it was decided that amputation would give her the best chance of living a happy comfortable life.

Joesphina was an absolute star during her stay with us! She showed so much bravery throughout her blood tests, surgery and recovery.

Now, she is happily adjusting to life on three legs with lots of support from her lovely owner

After receiving a wonderful update from her owner letting us know that Josephina has her life back, we thought it was only right to make her pet of the month 🏆

We are so happy for you Josephina ♥️
