Summer 2026 vs Autumn 2026 at littlehayco 🌾

This summer’s heatwave left our fields parched. The ground baked hard, cracks opened across the soil, and the grass turned pale and dry as the moisture drained away. Then autumn arrived, and the rain has been just what our fields needed. The soil is soaking up the moisture, the roots are getting a good drink, and the grass is greening up again. It’s the ground’s chance to rest and recover before winter. 🍂

Same fields, two completely different seasons, and it’s all down to the weather. 🌧️☀️

Follow along with as we see what the rest of autumn brings.
