🚩REPEAT PRESCRIPTIONS🚩

Just a polite reminder when ordering a repeat prescription please allow at least 48 hours between order and collection.
Prescriptions require veterinary approval to be made up and medication may need to be ordered in 💊

If your prescription has not been ordered and you need it on the day, this puts extra pressure on staff as it can be extremely busy. It will also result in you having to call back for the prescription which may be inconvenient for yourself.

Many thanks for your co-operation🐾

🐦 Fledgling Season is in Full Swing – Please Leave Healthy Young Birds Where They Are 🐦

We are currently receiving a large number of healthy fledglings that have been unnecessarily removed from the wild and brought into our care.

While it can be alarming to see a young bird sitting on the ground, this is often a completely normal stage of development. Fledglings leave the nest before they can fly properly and spend several days on the ground, in bushes, and on low branches while their parents continue to feed and protect them.

💚 If the bird is fully feathered, bright, alert, and not visibly injured, please leave it where it is.

By removing a healthy fledgling, it is separated from the parents that are caring for it and teaching it the skills it needs to survive in the wild.

✅ Leave healthy fledglings where they are.
✅ Keep pets away from the area if possible.
✅ Watch from a distance – parents are usually nearby.

❌ Do not pick them up and bring them to a vets unless they are injured, sick, or in immediate danger.

📸 Here is a photo of one adorable youngster we’ve welcomed recently—each one a reminder that sometimes the best way to help wildlife is simply to let nature do its thing.

Please help us spread the word and give these young birds the best chance of success by leaving them with their parents whenever possible. 🐦💚

✨ May is Veterinary Nurse Awareness Month! ✨

This month, we’re shining a spotlight on our nursing team and celebrating the incredible work they do🌟

Their skill, care, and dedication keep everything running smoothly and ensure our patients get the very best care! 🐶🐱🐾

🩺preparing patients & equipment for surgery
💉administering medication
🩺 Nurse clinics
🧠 Monitoring patients during surgeries!
🩸 Taking blood samples and placing IV catheters!
🩻 Performing and processing radiographs for accurate diagnoses!
📑Insurance administration!
🔬Lab technician - carrying out blood tests, microscopy and urine tests!
🦷 Completing dental scale and polishes to improve oral health
💊Stock control & management!
🧽lots of cleaning
…and that’s just the beginning.

We’re proud to introduce our dedicated team:
💚Tiffany – our Registered Veterinary Nurse!

🐾 Cats' claws aren’t just for scratching, they’re essential multitools to help them climb, hunt, play, and defend themselves. Thanks to their ability to retract, claws stay tucked away in a furry sheath when relaxed, ready for action.

Scratching on surfaces helps cats to care for their claws, keeping them sharp and helping them not to grow too long. It’s also used for communication. When cats scratch, they leave a visible mark and a scent signal from special glands between their toes, helping them establish territorial boundaries.
