Hello everyone!
I thought I’d reintroduce myself as we’ve had lots of new followers lately.
I’m Stephanie, owner of Ballydown Milk. I’m 38, Married to James and a very proud mum to five little people — our eldest is 7 and our youngest is just 6 months old, so life is definitely busy!
Ballydown Milk came to life in May 2021 when we sold our very first bottle of milk. Since then, this wee business has gone from strength to strength — all thanks to our amazing customers who continue to support us.
I’ve always had a keen interest in food and have worked in various food-related industries over the years. I gained invaluable experience at M&W Farm Meats, where I worked as a supervisor in a busy kitchen for several years before moving on to a role within our NHS.
In 2020, with two young children just 14 months apart, I knew returning to work of the farm, wasn’t going to be possible. So instead, I poured all my energy, experience and passion into growing Ballydown Milk.
My vision has always been simple — I want people to taste real milk. Milk that isn’t highly processed. From that passion, our delicious yoghurt range was created. I wanted to produce yoghurt that isn’t packed with unnecessary additives — just wholesome, natural food that’s good for you and supports gut health.
Since starting in 2021, we’ve grown to a team of five — James, Johnston, David, Daphne and myself — and we hope to create even more job opportunities in the future.
