LIZ PAUL AWARDS 🥹✂️✨
I’m honestly still completely blown away by what an incredible event The International Grooming Conference has been. Thankyou so much Colin Taylor for organising such a success! 🏆
Last night was the Liz Paul Awards - some of the most prestigious awards in our industry - and to have been nominated for THREE awards within my first year of business, while still being relatively new to the grooming industry and competition world, feels completely surreal. 🥹
I definitely had a few “how am I even here?!” moments being in the same room as so many people who inspire me every single day - people I look up to and hope that, one day, I can be as good as. 🥹✨
So you can imagine my absolute shock when I was announced as a winner of the Jigsaw Spirit Award. 🏆🥹
This award recognises hard work, dedication and passion within our industry, and honestly, it means more to me than I can put into words.
Anyone who knows me knows that dogs and this industry are basically my entire life. When I’m not grooming, I’m at a dog event, training, competing, showing, learning, attending seminars… or organising them myself through my little side project, Behind The Brush - Dog Grooming Education ✂️🐾📚 , where I’m on a mission to bring more grooming education to the North West - because us Northerners deserve some of the good stuff too! 😏✂️
I LOVE what I do. I’m ridiculously passionate about this industry, and it’s genuinely what puts fire in my belly every single morning. 🔥
I never do any of it expecting recognition. I do it because I love it. Because I’m constantly wanting to learn, improve, create opportunities and hopefully make a little difference along the way. Most of the time, it doesn’t even feel like work.
But to have that passion and dedication actually recognised with an award… that is incredibly special. 🥹🏆
Thank you to everyone who has supported me, encouraged me, believed in me and followed along with this journey so far - I appreciate you more than you know. 😭💕✨
