🐾 Puppy Spotlight! Meet Archie! 🐾

This gorgeous boy is Archie, an 18-week-old Irish Wolfhound who came in to see us this evening for his Kennel Cough vaccination. How adorable is he?

Kennel Cough is a highly contagious respiratory infection that can spread easily between dogs, particularly in places where they socialise closely like kennels, daycare, training classes and parks.

Vaccination is a quick and simple way to help protect your dog and as Archie is already showing us, it’s never too early to start.

We loved meeting this gentle giant tonight. 💙🐶

Hi team!
We have had a wee black kitten handed in to us this evening. He was found up at Trolans and is healthy but seems to be quite timid. Unfortunately he is not microchipped. If you know who he may belong to, please let us know. Proof of owner is required.
Thank you!🐈‍⬛🐈‍⬛

🍂 It’s officially September! 🍂

Which means the kids are heading back to school, holidays are ending and routines are starting to resume!

So, there’s no better time to make sure your pet’s flea, tick and worming routine is back on track too!

Remember:
•Fleas can be a problem all year round
•Regular worming helps protect your pet and your family
•A routine makes preventative care much easier to remember

If you’re unsure when your pet’s next treatment is due, or would like some advice on the best parasite prevention routine for your pet, give us a ring at the clinic, we would be happy to help.

🐝 Bee Aware, Keep Your Pet Safe! 🐾

We’re not sure about you all, but we’ve definitely noticed an increase in the number of wasps out and about lately!

Most bee and wasp stings cause only mild discomfort, but some pets can have more serious allergic reactions. Stings in or around the mouth or throat can also be particularly dangerous due to swelling.

Check out the signs and symptoms to look out for, and when you may need to give us a call in an emergency.

Feel free to share this post to help spread awareness and keep our pets safe! 🐾

💗 Meet gorgeous Nora! 💗

We first saw Nora with her littermates to start her puppy pack before heading off to her forever home.

It was so lovely to welcome Nora back again to complete her pack, and even more special to see her absolutely thriving with her new family. 🐾✨

Isn’t she a cutie? 🥰

🌟 The answer is in… and there are clearly some serious dog experts among our followers!

Sully is… A Nova Scotia Duck Tolling Retriever! 🇨🇦

Also known as a Toller, this beautiful breed is the smallest of the retrievers. They were originally bred in Nova Scotia to lure and retrieve waterfowl.

They’re known for being intelligent, energetic, affectionate and incredibly playful, with a striking red or golden/red coat and their feathered tails.

Well done if you got it right! ⭐️

🐾 A little Monday evening fun to get the brains engaged!

We had a little visit from beautiful Sully this afternoon, but can you guess what breed he is? 👀

Have a good look, put your thinking caps on, and drop your guesses in the comments!

The correct answer will be revealed tomorrow night!

Let’s see who can crack the mystery… 😜
