☀️ Warm weather is on the way ☀️

With temperatures set to rise, it’s worth remembering that warmer days can become uncomfortable and even dangerous for dogs much quicker than many people realise.

🌡️ Temperature guide:

🐾 Under 20°C – Generally comfortable for most dogs

🐾 20–23°C – Take extra care, especially with puppies, older dogs, flat-faced breeds and thicker-coated dogs

🐾 24–27°C – Increased risk of overheating – keep walks shorter and choose cooler times of the day

🐾 28–31°C – High risk for many dogs – avoid walks in the hottest part of the day

🐾 32°C+ – Heatstroke risk becomes much higher

Signs of overheating:
• Excessive panting
• Heavy drooling
• Lethargy
• Vomiting
• Wobbling or collapse

A few reminders:
• Keep fresh water available
• Make sure there’s shade
• Check pavements before walks
• Never leave dogs in cars

GUESS THE BREED — HARD EDITION 🕵️‍♂️

Think you know your dog breeds? This tiny dog has a HUGE personality… but can you figure out what breed it is from these clues alone? 👀

🔍 CLUES:

1. This toy-sized breed was originally bred to hunt rats in horse stables and carriages in Belgium.

2. This breed helped inspire the appearance of Ewoks in early sci-fi creature design discussions.

3. This breed comes in both rough-coated and smooth-coated varieties - but they’re considered the same breed.
