Sometimes people say to us "you're dogs are so well behaved, you're so lucky!" To which we reply "it's got nothing to do with luck and all to do with training!"
Dogs are happiest when they have a calm, assertive "Leader" who provides them with clear rules and boundaries. Training for calmness is so important from a safety aspect, dogs who haven't been taught basic commands are far more likely to get into dangerous situations. A prime example is waiting to be told to get into, or out of, the car. Bundling them in and slamming the boot shut or rugby tackling them to stop them bounding out is stressful for all concerned, and it can so easily go horribly wrong.
There are 10 Dogs in this video, all patiently waiting for their personal cue....safe and pleasurable for me and for them 😉
