Some bunny love stories are more dramatic than others…

A couple of weeks ago, handsome boy Tink decided he was going to completely stopped eating . After going to the vet, spending a small fortune, he was no better and came to me for help. In the end I syringe fed him around the clock to get his little while his tummy working again. He finally started passing faeces and they were all linked together with fur.

It was touch and go for a while, but thankfully he pulled through like an absolute fighter.

Because he was feeling so poorly, he had to be separated from his bunny wife Wednesday during recovery. Anyone who knows rabbits knows how delicate bonds can be… and sadly, by the time he was well enough to go back with her, the relationship had broken down.

So now they’re back here with me for rebonding.
Welcome back Wednesday and Tink.

It’s always amazing watching rabbits navigate their relationships again — the confusion, the stubbornness, the little moments of curiosity, and hopefully soon… forgiveness. Bonding rabbits isn’t just “putting them together”; it’s building trust and helping them remember they’re safest and happiest as a pair in a measured and safe environment, constantly checking they are being nice to one another. Scent and space are key throughout. Everything has to be perfect for the bond to success.

After everything this little lad has been through, we’re all rooting for a happy ending and a rekindled bunny romance. Every bunny needs some bunny to love ❤️🐰❤️🐰 De Gar
