🚨lost dog alert🚨

Not one of our visitors!

A dog was seen earlier by a neighbour alone and lost near Gemmells Garden Centre just along the road from us.

I've had a good look myself and can't see it, but please keep an eye out for a yellow lab in the area.

If seen please call 07424425866

I don't know who's dog this is or any further information.

Thank you

It is such a lovely day 🌞

Just a wee reminder now the day light hours are getting shorter that the field closes when the sun goes!
However the play park has lights and is open to 9pm every night. It is more out of the wind and has sheltered areas, a toilet and coffee making area. Even better is there is no addition charge for the lights. :)

Thankyou to all our visitors x

A little note from us…

We’ve been advised that we should be posting more regularly on social media. So we thought we’d better explain why you don’t see us popping up on Facebook every five minutes! 😊

The truth is, we’re a bit old school. Ok very old school. 😁

We only have Facebook, and we don’t feel the need to post something just for the sake of posting. We’re much happier spending our time outside, looking after the field, maintaining the equipment and, most importantly, making sure it remains a peaceful, safe and enjoyable place for you and your dogs. Yes we are happier in the rain, covered in mud and dog hair than sitting by a computer 🫣🤣

There are plenty of businesses who are wonderfully active online, posting every day and keeping everyone updated with everything they’re doing. I follow plenty of them, it's just not us. I'm also a true technophobe and not 100% sure how it all works 🤔

We’re just here in the real world, every day quietly doing what we do.

So if our page sometimes goes quiet, don’t worry — we’re still here! 🐾

If you ever have a question, suggestion or just want to get in touch, please do. We’re always happy to hear from you. Please remember though I am hard of hearing so texting me is the best way!

Thank you for supporting us 💕🐾

This is a demanding job both physically and emotionally.

Holiday ✈️

During the summer we will be taking a holiday. Though we will still have people looking after the place they will not be able to access our system and I may not be instantly contactable.

Remember

* Before visiting please be sure you check your booking time and date and enter and leave on time.

* ALWAYS close the gate and make sure the snip is securely in.

* Please adhere to the terms and conditions.

We have also recently had an increase in damage and breakages. Could all such incidents be reported to us.

Thankyou.

🐾 The play park is going through some deep cleaning (power washing) and removal of wag and woods (for something more fun!).
☀️ The playpark will be more summer themed by the weekend.
🤔 If there is anything you would like to see in there in the future please message us.

🟩 The field is looking fantastic and been all freshly strimmed again. (Thank you Ian).

Playpark update....

🐓 The nosey chickens have been screened off from view.
Our recent rescue Becky seems to have taken an interest in dogs so now she can't be teasing them! Honestly never known a hen like her.

🚧Work continues in improving the indoor spaces and so "wag and woods" is being converted to something better. For now just getting a freshen up of paint until we get some heavier work done in there over the summer.

🐾 I will get round to the paw wall improvements.

The playpark will be closed on Saturday for a private event. The field will however be open.

Carol and Ian 🙂

What a day ☀️. Whilst it was a little too warm for the doggies, Ian has taken the opportunity to get the field harrowed whilst I played in the new doggy sprinkler. The field is now open again!

Congratulations IAN!

After a long career from trainee gardener to Team leader, it's time for our IAN to step away from the desk and RETIRE.
..well, retired from paid employment at least, Ian's exciting second career at WAG AND RUN continues:

Grass Quality Controller
Mud Management Specialist
Equipment tester
Emergency Repair Team
Director of "I'll Just Do This One Job"
Implementer to Carols "oh I have an idea"!

Wishing IAN a long, happy retirement filled with dog hair, fresh air, and a never-ending list of "quick jobs" around the park!

Take the day off Ian, you deserve it 😉😘

That's WAG AND RUN 5 years old now 🥳

Thankyou to all our lovely visitors for using us over the past 5 years 😘

In that time we have grown in adding our PLAYPARK.
"Wag and Picnic" has had a face lift and a wee temporary change for the summer.
"Wag and Woods" is now getting gutted for a new area.😉.

Thankyou again for all your support and amazing comments over the years. We really appreciate it.

Here is to a nice long warm summer 🙏🍷🐾
