Looking for someone to join our team....

Shifts that we need someone to do are:-

- Monday's all day 8-4 (finish)
- Tuesday mornings 8-12/1
- Thursday's all day 8-4 (finish)
- Sunday all day 8-4 (finish) appreciate you may not want to work all of them.

Someone can take on all of this or I can split it between 2 people.

The role includes all yard duties carried out to a high standard, exercise based on capability and size (we have competition ponies up to large horses).

You will work as part of our team but must also be capable of sole charge and using your initiative - we need you to start in October but we would like to get you in during Sept so you can get to grips with everything, if possible.

Really nice, reliable, professional friendly team and we want to keep it that way! Lovely horses all very mannerly and well schooled / competing.

Anyone interested will need to come for a trial shift so we can answer all questions face to face, get to know you, show you the job and ensure it's a good fit.

Yard: HP17 8LR
Rate of pay based on experience

If you are interested please message with dates you would be available for a trail.

Thanks!

WESTON LAWNS BRONZE LEAGE 🤎

A fun and hot day at Weston Lawns with Amelia and Margaux for the Bronze league qualifier.

Margaux and Balou were awesome jumping all 3 rounds for just a pole in the final jump off finishing in 13th - absolutely excellent 🌟 this is certainly the biggest track these two have tackled and it has been so lovely to be doing some training and spending some time with Margaux again - the team has really missed her!! 👸🏻 🥰

Amelia and Victor started off strong but in the second class he had a protest, we popped him in the back ring for more battles and called it a day. Plan in place so watch this space to see these two fly round again soon 🙏

Sheryl & Agatha had a go at the 70cm and the Stepping Stones, no double clears today but it's all part of it! Keep training and keep going 👑 most importantly don't loose the faith!

BLUE CHIP

A great week but not the results to match the riding.

It started off really strong with Amelia going straight in to the Star 110 for a brilliant round on Victor. We then hit a few challenges keeping us outside of the finals but Amelia managed to repair the rounds and improve and learn more and more about Victor in the ring in the Classic. A bit change on the last day was certainly beneficial and most excitingly this is the start of their journey with so much to come....

Amelia totally nailed it on Que in terms of the canter and all the work in the warm up. Que did go a bit clammy in the ring at times but Amelia also managed to get round that very positively probably for one of their best rounds. All these things are learning and experience.

Minna started really strong on Oreo in the warm up class, jumping double clear and finish in the line up 11th 🏅 which was awesome considering we weren't trying to ride against the clock.
Oreo took the championship arena totally in her stride but they had an unlucky pole in the final just keeping them out of the jump off.

Like I said the results don't quite reflect the riding because actually, I was very proud to watch the horses and riders deliver at what is a very competitive and tricky show. 🥰

A great time with the girls and lots of laughs, big thanks to who not only
Suport us but sponsor the show and all our friends and clients that came to suport and or enjoy the gala night with us as well as some long days jumping 👑

PICKERING GRANGE

Sheryl and Wispa had 3 classes today as there was an Easter Bunny 60cm fun warm up class that I popped them in as well, I just wanted to give Sheryl the chance to really get the canter in the ring. The 60cm & 70cm were good but it didn't look like I does at home....so we had a chat sat on the ramp and with the help of Willow and an analogy about a match and a tiny flame 🔥....

Sheryl went into the Stepping Stones with the fire in her belly we wanted to see...the result, awesome - she came out double clear and =1st 🏆🥇 now she's found that I hope it stays!! Congratulations 🙌🏼

Lovely Willow brought Prince out for the Easter Bunny class but he wasn't being very helpful 😈 in the warm up, so we decided to call it a day. Willow is so resilient and such an amazing team player - I can't wait for her to get her moment and reap all the reward!! She sure deserves it!! 🫂

Minna jumped the 90cm and was due to jump the Newcomers but Oreo came out of the 90 having knocked a scab off her heal and looking a little sore - so we decided to withdraw and get the heal clean and sorted - it's great to see the girls making the right long term decisions 🥰
