Paige's Pawfect Pet Sitting

Paige's Pawfect Pet Sitting Paige's Pawfect Pet Sitting offers dog walking & pet care services in High Wycombe & the surrounding. But the support didn’t end there!

I founded Paige’s Pawfect Pet Sitting in October 2016 with the help of the Prince’s Trust. Paige’s Pawfect Pet Sitting is a pet care service based in High Wycombe, Buckinghamshire. I have had a love of animals since I was little, and this is what has led me into opening up my own pet services business. I have owned many different pets throughout my life from cats & dogs, to horses and fish, and ev

en some more exotic pets like a Royal Python called Phoenix, and my 6 Degus: Chunky (RIP), Chewy (RIP), Cheddar, Gouda, Bubbles & Squeak. My passion for working with animals led to me going to BCA (Berkshire College of Agriculture) to study the Level 3 Extended Diploma in Animal Management. I spent two years studying Animal Health, Animal Training, Animal Behaviour & other modules. During my time at college I specialised in working with zoo/exotic animals so I have plenty of experience working with reptiles, invertebrates, amphibians and also your more unusual pets such as degus, chinchillas & hedgehogs. I left college with an overall Merit and then moved on to finding work in the animal industry. However, the animal industry is a huge one, and over the years I had been thinking about what specific area I wanted to work in. I had started college wanting to work in a zoo, but then I learned more about conservation in my final year and that prompted me to consider wolf conservation, as wolves are my favourite animal and very close to my heart. Unfortunately, the lack of local opportunities meant that I had to postpone that. So, after careful thought and consideration, I began my journey into developing my own pet services business. During this time, I began to build my experience in the pet services sector including work experience in Greendale Farm, as well as volunteering at Stokenchurch Dog Rescue - a charity which I still work with closely to this day, as well as helping friends and family with their pets. A few months after leaving college in 2015, a friend of the family then mentioned about The Prince’s Trust, a programme which helps young people aged 18-30 build their own businesses. The support that The Prince’s Trust gave me was invaluable. During the initial workshop, I got to meet many like-minded people and learn about what goes into building your own business. The four days covered a lot, including everything from planning and marketing to sales, budgeting and tax. While this might be considered daunting for someone who had just turned 19, it only made me more determined to make my dreams a reality. I was then provided with amazing mentors who helped me move the business from plan to reality, and provided support while I was also balancing two other jobs at the same time. Following a period of test trading, where I was fortunate enough to find my first few clients, I was ready to present my business plan and prove that it was viable and sustainable. Luckily, this was successful, and I was able to get a loan that helped me get my first car - essential when you are travelling around various points in Bucks! Four years later, things have only been getting better and better! I’ve gained enough clients to regularly do group walks catered to the needs of each client (both human and dog!) and have been constantly expanding my knowledge of animals through courses and seminars. From this, I have discovered a passion for dog behaviour, including training, with a focus on positive reinforcement. I have also begun developing tuggy toys, which arose from my studies on ensuring pets have sufficient enrichment. I am now looking towards developing my training skills, with plans to gain the necessary qualification to ensure any potential clients get the best experience. Part of this experience has involved shadowing some fantastic trainers focusing on positive reinforcement, as well as applying what I have learned from these sessions with some of my clients’ dogs (thank you to all who have been gracious enough to let me so far!). I can’t wait to see how Paige’s Pawfect Pet Sitting develops over the coming years.

Good morning all,

I'm now back from Cyprus and will update my page about all the amazing things I've been up to whilst volunteering at the rescues.

I just wanted to see if there was anymore interest in either of the beach adventure walks?

I currently have the following dogs noted down as interested:
Casper- either date
Elton- either date
Luna Staffie x- May date

Upcoming adventure walks- beach adventure walk time!

What is an adventure walk?

A 2 hour walk that consists of off lead play time (if your dog has a reliable recall) with their friends, time to enjoy a good sniff and explore, rest breaks for water and snacks, trick training, brain games and basic training. I pick up your dog from their home and take them to the chosen adventure walk location with other dogs and then drop them all home. Your dog will be out for around 4-6 hours.

Adventure walks terms of conditions:

🐾 All dogs must be in good health and be able to cope with a longer walk.

🐾 Puppies are now allowed to join these walks as there will be plenty of rest breaks.

🐾 Entire males are allowed to join the walks as long as they get on well with other dogs.

🐾 Dogs attending must be okay with other dogs. Not only will they be walked with other dogs, but the adventure walk locations will have other dogs around.

🐾 All dogs must be comfortable with travelling in a van as they will need to be picked up and driven to the adventure walk location and then driven back home.

🐾 Any female dogs in season, any dog who is unwell or any dogs with signs of kennel cough can not join the adventure walk.

🐾 Local adventure walks are £45 per dog, and further afield/beach adventure walks £60 per dog.

Adventure walk rules:

🐾 Going forward, the adventure walks will be a maximum of 4-6 dogs per walk.

🐾 It is no longer a first come, first serve basis. I will post the dates below of the planned adventure walks. You will then need to comment, email me, or WhatsApp me with the dates you are interested in.
Once I've made a list of dates and who is interested, I will then decide which 4 dogs will attend the walk and will contact their owner. This is to make sure that all dogs get the opportunity to attend the walks and that all dogs are suitably matched to each other.

🐾 If I don't think the adventure walk is suitable for your dog, then I will contact you to let you know.

A brilliant sunny adventure walk yesterday with Bluu, Casper, Maya, Mollie and Reggie in Bourne end 💜

I haven't seen Maya and Mollie in a few years as they moved outside of my area but they joined the adventure walk yesterday and instantly remembered me, greeting me with wiggly bodies, happy tails and cuddles. I loved seeing them again and they loved seeing Bluu again and meeting Casper and Reggie.

They all had a great walk with lots of sniffs, a little bit of training and some rest breaks ☀️

I'll be looking at the next lot of dates for adventure walks soon and will do a post 🐾

Love isn’t just in the air… it’s in the wag of a tail, the happy dance at the door, and the quiet moments shared on the sofa 🐶❤️

This Valentine’s Day, let’s celebrate the unconditional love our dogs give us every single day.

They don’t care about fancy gifts or grand gestures — just your time, patience, and a little bit of training to help them feel safe and understood.

Because the best relationships are built on trust, communication, and love. 💕

Give your dog the gift of learning this Valentine’s Day.

Let's share the love this Valentines day, I'd love to see the comments filled with all of my amazing followers pets 💜
