Elgert Field Spaniels I have had Field Spaniels since 1979, breeding them since 1982. I am passionate about showcasing this UK Vulnerable Breed.

My dogs are part of the family and we enjoy both showing & working them. We are based in Buckinghamshire in the UK.

🙌🏿🎉 They did the DOUBLE AGAIN!! 🙌🏿🎉

So whilst I decided to stay home and chill with my team the Elgert’s still put on a fab show at Blackpool Champ Show !!

The winning duo of Sh Ch Elgert Disco Inferno at Knightsbay ( Merlin) owned by Russell Mosedale and Sh Ch Elgert Dancing Queen at Ewtor (Freda) owned by Leanne and Ann Moss once again did the DOUBLE !! - winning Dog CC and Bitch CC with Merlin taking the BOB 🤩🤩 - the 2nd time this year they have taken the DOUBLE 🤩🤩

Also had some fabulous news early hours from Australia with Ch Elgert Back to the Future (Marty) winning some lovely shows over a cluster show weekend - I would explain more but I do get confused easily! - but even I can understand Best in Group (Group 1) I think that is a universal show language we all understand 🤩🤩 so congrats to John & Rachel Robertshaw 🎉

Having dogs you bred winning for others is such a fabulous feeling and I couldn’t be a more prouder breeder 🤩🤩❤️

Back at home my girls had fun in the meadow and are enjoying some downtime whilst I rest at home 🤩. Hopefully out again soon as some more local shows coming up 🤩

Always love seeing how the youngsters mature up - we often say blacks take longer to mature but Daphne - Elgert BlackPink JW - is a rule to herself 🤣🤣

She won her JW at just 9 months and has been consistently placed ever since and still only 19 months - learning the no bounce rule has been her issue 🤣🤣

Photos top one from Welks in April and bottom one from Reading in May so just a month apart and so much more mature.

So excited for her future as although a little minx she does have sooooo much character and makes me smile daily 🤣🤣🤣🥰🥰❤️

The National was another fab Elgert day with the gorgeous Merlin - Sh Ch Elgert Disco Inferno At Knightsbay coming out once again on top with Dog CC and Best of Breed with his litter sister my Ester - Sh Ch Elgert Private Dancer ShCex winning RCC - Judge spaniel expert Mrs Ann Moon. Ester also won the RKC Good Citizen Stakes Class under Gundog expert Sharon Pinkerton.

WELKS never disappoints for a show as always so fab to be outside for fun days with friends and always so well organised - lovely to have such nice space round the rings to set up with friends and chill in the sun - our traditional mini picnic and some more fizz for last birthday celebrations 🤣🥰

Daphne - aka Elgert BlackPink JW - wow wow wow she kept her feet on the floor all the time till her little leap at the end - yahhh she is maturing up so well and just love the character she brings to the day 🤣🤣🥰

Daphne was a fab girl winning Post Grad Bitch in Breed Class - Judge Pat Butler-Holley and thrilled me with also winning the Vulnerable Breeds Open Bitch Class in a lovely line up winning pocket money as well 👌 Judge Ed Casey

The day got better with fab results for some other Elgert’s but that deserves a post on its own 🤩🍾❤️

As the sun was shining st the weekend took advantage to get a couple of photos of Bertie Black - aka Elgert Future Past (1RCC) .

Bertie was sadly roughly handled by a judge as a youngster and so now hates the whole standing and showing experience so always difficult to get photos of him as he goes so stiff trying to stack him 😢 - however he does enjoy his cuddles and time at home so as gorgeous as he is that is where he stays rather than the show ring.

But lovely to see how he is maturing and coming along ❤️ Can’t resist his baby photo ❤️❤️🥰
