Hey everyone, it’s Kayla here!
I’ve got a little update to share, and it’s a good one.

As most of you know, I’ve been running both Ruff Cuts Grooming and Canine Manor Doggie Daycare & Grooming all by myself for a while now. I absolutely love what I do, but juggling two separate names has been… well, a bit chaotic behind the scenes!

So I’ve decided to bring everything together under one name: Canine Manor.
Same me, same scissors, same cuddles, same dogs who pretend they don’t know what a bath is — just all in one place.

Nothing is changing with your appointments, your dog’s routine, or the way I work. This is simply me tidying things up so it’s easier for all of us.

Thank you so much for supporting me and trusting me with your pups. It means the world.

🐾 Hey lovely humans! 🐾
I hope you all had the best New Year ! Yes, I’m late to the party, but so is half the dog population when you call their name, so I’m in good company.
Just a wee heads‑up that from February 1st, most of my services will have a small price increase of around £5. This helps me keep giving your pups the pampering, cuddles, and chaos‑management they deserve.
And honestly… THANK YOU. Every single one of you! New faces, long‑timers, and the dogs who still pretend they’ve never met me, you’re the reason Ruff Cuts is turning FIVE YEARS OLD this year. Five years of fluff, fun, and fur in my mouth.
Here’s to another year of waggy tails, glow‑ups, and dogs judging me while I sing to them. 💛🐶✨

Hello!! Just a wee post to say that from today I will be implementing a matting charge. This will be applied to any groom that requires me to shave due to matting on the dogs body. This charge is due to the toll shaving has on my blades leading to me needing more frequent sharpening services, these are not only costly but limit the amount of work I can take on while my blades are away. I hope you can all understand ❤️❤️

P.S I still have scattered availability before I am away on holiday so pop me a message if you’re needing your pup in and we can get it booked asap! 🥰💕

Hello my lovelies 🥰 just a wee message to say that I will be on holiday for the month of November!
I will start making my way through my client list to offer appointments in advance for the remainder of the year so that everything flows as smoothly as possible!

Also to give a wee update on me, as most of you know I have been very poorly over the past two months with kidney infections. Well, the whole cause of these were a kidney stone in my left kidney. I am thankfully heading to Edinburgh hospital next week to have it delt with! Please bear with me over the next week or so as I may be a little tender and not as able as I usually am to fit all the pups in!❤️❤️❤️

Hello, just a quick update on me and why I've been so bad at replying!! I haven't been too well recently and I am currently up in Raigmore hospital with a wee kidney infection.

Please bear with me in regards to answering messages and phone calls. I will absolutely get back to everyone as soon as I'm on the mend!

As small as the team here at Canine Manor is, I thought it best we introduce ourselves!

Hi, I’m Kayla – the dog-obsessed dreamer behind Canine Manor! And my dog Athena 💜

Raised in Aviemore, I spent years working in the town’s beloved cafés and restaurants before chasing my true passion: dogs. That journey took me all the way to Cheshire, where I earned my Dog Grooming Diploma and returned home with a mission.

I launched my first business, Ruff Cuts, from my mum’s front room – a cozy little grooming space filled with love and wagging tails. After three amazing years, an unexpected opportunity came barking at my door: the chance to take over the old Dell Farm offices on Rothiemurchus.

With the support of my incredible partner, we packed up our tiny flat and poured our hearts into transforming the space into something truly special – the area’s very first doggie daycare.

It’s been a year of hard work, hurdles, and a whole lot of dog hair, but we’ve finally made it. Canine Manor is more than a business – it’s our home, and a haven for pups and their people.

Canine Manor will be having an open day this 🎉Saturday 22nd March 🎉
🐩10am until 4pm 🐩

Come along with your pawsome pals to see the finally finished Canine Manor in all it's glory 🎉

There will be human friendly refreshments and of course some doggie friendly ones too! 🐕🧁
The run will also be open for on or off lead play with other pups, please be mindful of this when deciding whether or not to bring your four legged friend 🥰

Can't wait to see you all there!! It's been one hell of a journey 🥳
