Swipe to see the transformation! 💗✨

The dog I use for grooming competitions normally has a teddy bear trim, but this time I wanted to do something completely different.

I’ve always wanted to try a traditional lion trim, so I decided to step out of my comfort zone and give it a go. To make it even more fun, I added a splash of pet-safe colour, turning her into the ultimate pink princess! 👑💕

Considering this is my very first attempt at any kind of poodle trim, I’m really pleased with how she turned out. Every groom is a chance to learn something new, and I absolutely loved creating this look.

What do you think of the before and after? 🩷

Sometimes life happens — and as groomers we understand that 💚

This boy unfortunately missed an appointment due to an injury, and then life simply got in the way for his owner. When she messaged to book him back in, she was worried about being judged because his coat had become very matted.

I reassured her there was absolutely no judgement. Things happen, and sometimes circumstances are outside of our control. The most important thing is reaching out and getting the dog comfortable again 🐾

His owner fully understood that, due to the matting, we would need to take him short and treat it as a fresh start for his coat. ✂️

The best part? His next appointment was booked in straight away to help keep him comfortable and on a regular schedule moving forward 💚
