💚 WORLD MENTAL HEALTH DAY – 10TH OCTOBER 💚
Pet bereavement is real grief. 🐾🌈
Losing a much loved pet can have a huge impact on our mental health. They aren't “just a pet”, they are part of our family, part of our everyday routines and often the ones who are there for us through some of life's hardest moments.
When they pass away, the silence in the house, the empty bed, the missing footsteps and the routines that suddenly change can feel overwhelming.
You may feel:
💔 Heartbroken
😢 Tearful or emotional
😔 Lonely or lost
😴 Exhausted
🫶 Guilty or wondering if you did enough
💭 Like nobody understands why you're grieving so deeply
There is no right or wrong way to grieve your pet.
Please be kind to yourself. Talk to someone you trust. Share your memories. Cry when you need to. And don't feel that you have to “move on” simply because someone else doesn't understand the depth of your loss.
🧡Sometimes, talking about the pet you've lost can help🧡
At Pet Cremation Direct, we understand that the loss of a pet can be one of the hardest experiences a family can go through. We are here to listen, support you and help you through those difficult moments.
Your grief matters. Your feelings matter. And the love you had for your pet matters. 🐾🧡
If you're struggling with your mental health or feel unable to cope, please reach out to someone you trust or a professional who can support you.
Today, on World Mental Health Day, let's remember that pet bereavement deserves understanding, compassion and support too. 🌈🐾
