This is our student Ellie ❤️🐾

Ellie is currently completing her iPET Network Level 3 Diploma in Dog Grooming & Salon Management, and here she is working with the gorgeous Ronnie the Vizsla 🥰

As part of her training, Ellie gets hands-on experience working with lots of different breeds and coat types, learning the correct grooming, handling and preparation techniques for each one.

She’s doing such a lovely job and making great progress throughout her course! ✂️🐶

Lots more learning (and gorgeous dogs!) still to come ❤️

💜 The end of an era & the start of a new chapter… 💜

On Saturday 29th August, we officially closed the doors of Taylor’s Trims for the final time after 5 amazing years in our shop. 🥹🐾

Like every business, we’ve had our ups and downs, but despite the challenges, I’ve made some of the best memories with the most amazing people.

A huge thank you to Helen Cook , Karoline Felix Sines , .hughes_ & Katie West not only incredible colleagues, but amazing friends. Taylor’s Trims simply wouldn’t have been what it was without you. Each of you has taught me something I’ll carry with me for life, and I’m so grateful you were part of this journey. 💜

And now it’s time for something new…

After years of running a busy salon, I’m going back to 1-1 grooming, putting myself first a little more and focusing on growing as a groomer, especially throwing myself into the competition world, which I’ve recently found a real love for! 🐩🏆

And with this new chapter comes a new name…

Taylor’s Trims belongs to the shop, the team and all the memories we created there, and I want to leave it that way. It will always be such a special part of my story. 💜

Thank you to every single client who has supported us, trusted us with your dogs and cheered me on along the way.

Here’s to the next chapter! just me, my dogs and my love for grooming. 💜✂️🐩

☀️ Hot Weather Reminder ☀️

Please be assured that our salon is fully air conditioned, so it stays lovely and cool inside and your dogs will be kept comfortable during their visit.

However, if you are travelling by public transport, walking to your appointment, or do not have access to a vehicle with air conditioning, please consider rescheduling your appointment today. If your dog arrives showing any signs of heat stress or heat stroke, we will unfortunately be unable to groom them for their own safety.

If possible, please park as close to the salon as you can and come straight inside. The pavements can become extremely hot in this weather. If your dog is small enough to carry, we recommend doing so to protect their paws. If you need any assistance getting your dog into the salon, please just give us a shout and we’ll be happy to help.

Before setting off, please start your car and allow it to cool down before putting your dog inside. Dogs struggle with the heat far more than we do. If you are unable to keep your car cool enough for your dog, even a short 5-minute journey may be too much in these temperatures. In this situation, please reschedule your appointment — there will be no charge.

🐾 UPDATE – SEPTEMBER TO DECEMBER AVAILABILITY 🐾

As many of you already know, from 1st September I will be moving to Pawfect Companions and working on a one-to-one basis.

Due to the overwhelming support and interest, I am now fully booked from September to December.

This move means I unfortunately won’t be able to continue grooming every pet that currently visits me. Please know that this has been one of the hardest parts of making this decision. I have done everything I possibly can, including extending my hours, to accommodate as many pets as possible.

I know this news may be disappointing for some and I truly am sorry to those affected. Thank you from the bottom of my heart for trusting me with your pets over the years. It has been an absolute privilege to get to know so many wonderful dogs, cats and owners.

Although this change is the right move for me personally, saying goodbye to some of you is not something I have taken lightly.

If you would like to be added to my cancellation list for appointments between September and December, please send me a message and I’ll happily add you.

🐱 Cat Clients
I do still have some limited availability for cat grooming, so please get in touch if you would like to enquire. Appointments will be subject to your cat’s behaviour and tolerance for grooming, as I will no longer have a second helper available.

The last five years at the shop have been incredible and I cannot thank you all enough for your continued support. I’m so excited for this next chapter and look forward to continuing to pamper the pets joining me on this journey.
