Don't jump down from there please Rum π«£
Just because they can.... Doesn't mean they should!
Every jump down creates an impact that travels through growing paws, limbs, joints, and the spine. One jump is unlikely to cause a problem but repeatedly landing from high surfaces can place unnecessary strain on a puppy's developing musculoskeletal system.
Growing bodies need time to develop strength, coordination, and stability. We have to help our puppies avoid unnecessary jumps and teach them safe alternatives to support healthy movement while reducing the risk of awkward landings and avoidable injuries.
That's why we've taught Rum to use the steps since day 1 - even though she still gives me heart attacks from time to time when she threatens to jump down from here π«£
