On Sunday 19th July we will be holding a fundraising event for a remarkable little girl.
QUINN’S DOG WASH 🫧🐾
Beautiful Quinn is a local girl, she was diagnosed with Syngap1 at a very young age. Syngap1 is a rare genetic condition caused by a mutation in the SYNGAP1 gene. It primarily leads to moderate-to-severe intellectual disability, epilepsy (starting in childhood), and autism spectrum disorder. There is currently no cure, but treatments focus on managing seizures and developmental symptoms.

Quinn has been accepted onto a pioneering medical treatment at Neurocytonix, in Mexico! This is a non invasive 28 day intensive treatment using electro magnetic stimulation, enabling brain growth!
It’s seen fantastic results in helping & controlling epilepsy, lowering seizures and giving better quality of life to many children.

HOW CAN YOU HELP???

We are holding a fundraising Dog Wash for Quinn at Fancy Paws on Sunday 19th July. All proceeds raised will go straight towards the funds needed for Quinn’s treatment in Mexico!
Your dog will get a lovely freshen up and you’ll also be doing something truly wonderful to help this little girl reclaim some quality of life! Wouldn’t that be just amazing! 🤩
A minimum donation will apply in relation to dog breed/size. We urge you to book for this event, although there will be a team of six of us, spaces will be limited!

We are excited to be able to offer more availability to new customers! We welcome you with open paws 🐾

We groom ALL BREEDS, from teeny tiny Chihuahua’s to gentle giants such as Newfoundlands and Leonbergers, to beautiful pedigrees and sensitive rescues! We love them all 🥰

We are a multi-groomer salon, with four groomers working throughout the week, Monday to Saturday.
If your dog requires a quiet space for grooming we do have a separate room to help settle those nerves. We also have a dedicated doggy garden for relief breaks and post groom playtime, and a plentiful toy box ready to be raided!! 🥹

Between the four of us we have a wealth of knowledge so please feel free to ask us anything. We are here for you as well as your doggies. No question is too silly!
We can advise on your dog’s coat care and the correct tools to keep your dog in tip top condition. Your dog’s welfare is our top priority!
We offer puppy grooms, full grooms, bath and brushes, nail clipping, ultrasonic teeth cleaning, spa treatments and specialised products for skin conditions. We sell tasty natural dog treats, leads, collars and harnesses, brushes, combs and more!

Gefion Dog Training are holding a Fun Dog Show at Ashford Rugby Ground this Sunday!!! Raising funds for Action for Homelessness.
Get yourselves down there and get your pups entered! Will be a great day for dog lovers 🐾

We have lots of amazing stalls, including food, coming to our Funday and dog show on 7th June at Ashford Rugby Club. Free parking and entry. Just £2 per class and you pay as you enter.
We will also have tea and cakes served on the terrace.

FEELING HOT HOT HOT 🥵

‼️ Customer notice ‼️

With the current temperatures we are taking your dog’s safety in the salon extremely seriously.
We will be assessing the heat throughout the day and if we feel it is too much for your dog, appointments may need to be rearranged or cancelled for their wellbeing.

A few things we kindly ask:
-Please avoid walking your dog before their appointment
- We always have fresh water available, but please bring water for the car journeys to and from the salon
- Please collect your dogs on time
- If your dog is struggling in the heat at home and you need to rearrange, please let us know with as much notice as possible.

We do have air conditioning in the salon and we ensure the dryers are used without the heat setting. But even with these measures in place, heat exhaustion is a real risk in this weather.

Thank you for understanding while we do everything we can to keep your dogs safe, comfortable and happy during this hot weather.

💚💚 CRUFTS 2026 💚💚

Just coming down from a Crufts high 😍

Whilst our lovely Nichola was holding the fort and kept the salon running, Fee, Mel and Lilly travelled up to the NEC to attend Crufts, the biggest dog event of the year! 💚

This year Crufts was slightly different especially for Fee and her miniature poodle Lando. Many of our regulars will know that Fee has dipped her toe into the showing world as her mini man Lando is a natural in the show ring.

At 11 months of age Lando debuted in the Miniature Poodle Puppy class on the iconic green carpet last weekend. He showed his little socks off! Took it all in his stride and soaked up every ounce of attention. He placed 2nd and qualified for Crufts 2027 💚✨

It’s been quite a busy few days but we are bursting with pride for this little man and his exciting future ahead 💚💚💚

Everyone knows we love a poodle here at Fancy Paws! 🐩
So it was just lovely meeting Freddie today for the first time. Freddie’s previous groomer had groomed him since a pup and he’s now 9 years young 🤍
His groomer has now moved away and we were recommended to Freddie’s owner. It truly is a privilege to be entrusted with your pups but it’s even sweeter to hear we are highly thought of!

🌟 Merry Christmas one and all 🌟

Well that’s a wrap on yet another year!

We have been truly blessed to be able to continue doing the job we love. It would not have been possible without all of you! Your loyalty and support has been incredible and unwavering. For the ones that have been with us since the very beginning to the newcomers that we welcome with open arms! Thank you so much. We appreciate each and every one of you! ❤️💚

It’s been a tough year, we have said goodbye to many special ones that have crossed rainbow bridge 🌈🐾 we feel their loss as much as you!

Our socials have been very quiet this year, Fiona’s dad sadly passed, so time away from online has been very much needed. Thank you to all of your kindness and understanding during this time.

Life is never easy, but being kind goes a long way. We wish you all a very Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year 💚❤️
