Bit of a PSA. We have had a vet visit for the big man. My regular clients (especially scentwork and reactivity) will know that Darwin had a bit of an accident in December with his toe. Since then we've been battling mud and infections and turns out the best course of action to improve his quality of life was surgery- a toe amputation.

So, we left a drowsy Darwin in the very capable hands of Radu and his team at this morning for an amputation. Luckily, after x-rays, he didn't have to have as much as originally thought off (a very good sign) but is still getting sent off for resting.

We picked up a very wobbly, very high Darwin this afternoon, complete with a fetching new blue bandage. He hasnt really moved from the front room, where he is sleeping off the meds in front of the fan. The team at did a wonderful job keeping him calm and comfortable today. Hopefully he'll be feeling much better in the next few days.

Next week I am on annual leave, so will be replying but maybe delayed.

Throwback to our Puppy Graduation Circuits! 🐾

What a brilliant moment to look back on - our pups completing their graduation circuits and showing just how far they’ve come 🐶✨

This isn’t just a fun way to finish the course, it’s a real opportunity to put their learning to the test in a supportive, real-life style setup. We’re looking at:

✨ Engagement with their owners
✨ Focus around distractions
✨ Confidence working through exercises
✨ And that all important ability to listen and respond in a busy environment

And honestly… how good are those owners?! 👏 Off lead, working beautifully with their pups, communicating clearly and trusting the process every step of the way 💜

These moments are exactly why we train the way we do - building teamwork, trust and real world skills that last far beyond the classroom.

Another Juniors class graduated last week 🎓🐾

Over the last few weeks, this group have worked hard on building the skills that make everyday life with their dogs that little bit easier.

From loose lead walking and recalls, to engagement, focus and learning how to work together as a team, every dog has made progress in their own way.

What you’ll see in this video isn’t just dogs performing behaviours. It’s dogs choosing to engage with their owners, checking in, learning to navigate distractions and building the foundations for a lifetime of learning together.

Some of these dogs joined us after puppy classes, some started their journey with us in Juniors, but every team has shown commitment, consistency and a willingness to keep learning.

A huge well done to all of our graduates and their owners. We’re so proud of how far you’ve all come and can’t wait to see what comes next for you 🐶💙

If you’d like help building a stronger relationship with your dog through positive reinforcement training, we’d love to help.

Congratulations to our latest Juniors graduates! 🐾🎓

A huge well done to Tilly, Pixie, Winnie, Duchess, Rubble and Benson and their owners, who have completed their Juniors course with us.

Over the past few weeks, they’ve been working on the skills that help create calmer, more enjoyable day-to-day lives together. From recalls and loose lead walking to engagement, focus and learning how to make good choices around distractions, every team has put in the effort and it has been wonderful to watch their progress.

One of the things we love most about Juniors is seeing the relationship between dogs and their owners grow. Confidence builds, communication improves, and dogs learn that working with their humans is rewarding and fun.

Every dog in this group has been on their own unique journey, and we’re incredibly proud of what they’ve achieved.

Congratulations to all of our graduates – you’ve all worked so hard and should be very proud of yourselves. We can’t wait to see where your training journey takes you next! 🐶✨

Graduation day for our puppy class! 🐾 🎓

We’re so proud of this little group of pups (and their humans!) who have officially completed their puppy course with us. 💜

Over the past 6 weeks they’ve been working hard on all the important foundations that set them up for life, including:

✨ Recall around distractions
✨ Loose lead walking skills
✨ Settling calmly in real-life situations
✨ Focus and engagement with their handler
✨ Building confidence in new environments
✨ Learning how to make good choices

But most importantly… they’ve learned how to learn. And that’s where the real magic happens. 🐶

It’s been brilliant watching their confidence grow week by week, from bouncy chaos to thoughtful, engaged puppies who are starting to navigate the world with a bit more calm and understanding.

To our lovely handlers – you should be so proud. The consistency, patience and effort you’ve put in has made all the difference.

We can’t wait to see what you get up to next. This is just the beginning of your training journey together. 💜

Well done to Honey, Nellie, Otis and Biscuit 🎓

If you’re thinking about joining a future puppy class, drop us a message to join the waiting list for our next intake.

Not every puppy class is about playing with other dogs 👀🐾

One of the biggest things we focus on in puppy classes is teaching pups how to stay calm, confident and engaged around other dogs 💜

Before puppies can greet politely, they first need to learn how to work and focus around distractions. That’s why we start at a distance first, helping pups feel comfortable, successful and able to focus on their owners without becoming overwhelmed.

As confidence grows, we gradually bring the puppies closer together, creating positive, calm experiences and helping build neutral behaviour around other dogs 🐶✨

Because confident puppies don’t need to say hello to every dog they see — they learn that calm, relaxed behaviour is rewarding too 🙌

These two absolutely smashed their gentle greeting 🥹🐾
