Hi everyone ,
Just a small update .
I’ve had my cardio rehab appointment through which is for 7th Sept . I’m not allowed to return back to work until I’ve attended that and see what my rehab plan is going forward. I have 8 weeks of rehab twice a week but I think I will have to attend the one hour meeting on the 7th to get my plan and ask about returning to work . I’m so so sorry ! I thought I could go back in Sept but it’s not as straight forward a recovery as that and I don’t want to tear the artery more and potentially have another heart attack. I will keep you all updated as much as I can as I know this is letting you all down etc. I totally understand if you will need to look for another walker which obviously I don’t want you too but of course will understand. It maybe a case of me coming back and only doing one walk atm and easing back into it but I need to talk to the rehab team first and my cardiologist.I also have my insurance to think about as if I go back too soon I won’t be covered. Next week I’m allowed to start going out for 10 min walks a day and upping them 5 mins a week. Once again thank you all so much for your support , words of encouragement and understanding as I know this is far from ideal when you all need a dog walker. Pop in visits maybe an option going forward after I get back to driving? I’m devastated by this news but I don’t want to put any of the dogs at risk either by going back too soon .
