This Veterinary Receptionist Week, we’re giving credit where it’s very much due.

Thank you, Shauna — for being the calm in the chaos, the smile at the desk, and the woman quietly holding half the place together.

Please be nice about this post. She didn’t write it herself for once.

It’s Veterinary Receptionist Week, which means for once Shauna is not behind the scenes updating the socials — she’s the one being posted about.

Shauna is the welcoming voice on the phone, the friendly face at the front desk, the person who somehow knows what is going on, where it is, who needs it, and probably where you left that form.

But ā€œveterinary receptionistā€ is one of those job titles that does not nearly cover it.

Because yes, she’s brilliant with clients and keeps the front of house running smoothly — but she’s also fully capable of holding patients, running blood samples, jumping in where needed, and serving as our unofficial chief photographer.

Basically, if something needs doing, Shauna is already halfway through sorting it.

She keeps the practice warm, organised, and sane, which is no small feat in a vet practice.

So this Veterinary Receptionist Week, we’re giving credit where it’s very much due.

Thank you, Shauna — for being the calm in the chaos, the smile at the desk, and the woman quietly holding half the place together.

Please be nice about this post. She didn’t write it herself for once.
