Last chance to book in for Holiday Livery this year! Spaces available from the 11th of November to the 7th of December and that’s it till next year so if you are going away for a couple days or a couple weeks and want the security of knowing your horse is looked after all day every day, give us a message!

We have no more spaces for Schooling, Sales, Backing or Behavioural Livery until next year.

We are also super excited to say we are now fully insured for Rehabilitation Livery as well, whether this be from injury, ulcers or anything in between. We have experienced working with all types of issues and have a good relationship with relative professionals to help with any case.

Due to time commitments and a young family, this boys owner has decided it’s best to find him a new home.

16.2hh, 12 year old, TB Gelding
He can be quirky and in need a confident experienced rider. No children or novices.

A big loveable bug, always the first over for a cuddle.
Has the looks and presence of a top ROR horse. Having previously qualified for ROR champs at Aintree at his first time out in-hand showing.
Schools with a soft mouth and off the leg. Very pleasant uphill ride with serious dressage potential.
Loves to jump and very bold. Been out to some BS schooling shows, XC schooling and other arena hires with owner.
He is not a happy hacker, gets over excited/stressy and will jog a lot. Not spooky just a need for speed. Totally different horse in an arena.

Racing History -
First ran at 6 years old in a NH Flat then again as a 7 year old in Hurdles. Didn’t have the speed or stamina and was retired sound straight to current owner.

Home is most important to the owner, ideally a competition home on a busy yard as he likes to have company in the field and stables. Holds weight extremely well and has good feet.

Been back in work for 7 weeks with us after 2 years off due to owner’s circumstances.

September has been and gone and what a busy month for us it’s been 😮‍💨
Not only is it my birthday month but it was also my brother’s wedding 🥰

But here’s a mini update on some of the horse gang;

Our Schooling Livery has been with us 6 weeks now, being brought back into work after 2 years off and we are now getting a little jumping done (thank you to Faye for wanting to be the first sacrifice last week 🙈), he’s a quirky boy but that’s where all the fun is!

We had one of our longer staying liveries headed back home, a completely different horse from when he arrived. His saddle is for sale on behalf of owners if anyone is looking!

We’ve had a lot of ups and downs with our own lot. Managing to actually get out competing on my own was a highlight but with 9 horses there’s always something happening with the vet side of things 🤦🏼‍♀️ Another thank you to all clients who have been patient with us basically this whole year with the surprise foals, sickly horses and all the in betweens 🙈

We still have a decent waitlist heading forward so any new bookings most likely will be for 2027! 🥰

Tentatively putting feelers out for Oakley being available to a new home due to his brother undergoing serious vet investigations that may cost me an absolute fortune 😬

16.2hh, 8 year old, homebred AES gelding.
Allrounder or pure Dressage quality but equally just a fun loving horse that will be your best friend.

Low competition mileage due to my lack of time but he can just be pulled out and taken to a busy venue with no issues or left for months and hacked straight to the beach. He’s nicely forward of the leg and soft on the hands but needs an experienced balanced rider that isn’t too handsy.
Professionally produced since birth, he is exactly what I want out of a horse. I’ve hacked him pretty much everywhere and frequently ridden him tackless. He’s been out to dressage competitions, showjumping and WH/XC arena hires, busy county shows and local showing shows, long fun rides and even been out exercising the hounds. He likes the show atmospheres and isn’t one to get wound up.

He is a little “special”, not nasty in any way, vets have said if they could diagnose ADHD then he has it. He can be a fidget but also a total overachiever. He’ll randomly offer a piaffe/passage for absolutely no reason just cause you asked for it once and has a collected canter to die for so he’s got the brain, just needs a rider with the knowledge to take it further.

Please provide videos/photos of you riding when enquiring as well as other information on what you’re looking for out of a horse and the home you can provide as we will only be doing very select viewings for him. He will not go to a home with 24/7 stabling as this would drive him mad, he has lived out his whole life only being stabled overnight before a few shows.

Who would have thought I’d actually get around to competing my own homebred 🙈

Oakley’s first time out jumping and his first dressage test in 3 years at the weekend 🥺 coming away with a 6th and a 1st 🥰
We’ve done barely any jumping in his lifetime, realising as I was walking the course he’s never actually done a double before so the round was a little sketchy but he gave everything a go and didn’t even look at the fillers!
Dressage is more his forte but since he’s barely been out he was a little over excited (just an intro test but he tried to put a walk to canter transition in🤦🏼‍♀️), still came away with over 69% though!

Not mentioning it was also my first jumping competition in 7 years so rusty wasn’t even the word 🙈

When you really wanted to see your auntie Blossy next door whilst your mum was waking up for sedation but you are still too little so you decide to climb a haynet for the first time, not only getting caught by the human but then getting stuck and said human having to lift you back out 😬

I’ve always taught my foals about being lifted up from day 1 and this is exactly why, you never know when you need to manipulate them out of a situation and having them used to you doing such things makes for a totally calm and easily manoeuvred idiot 😂 no ropes needing cut, baby and haynet still fully intact and it was not attempted again 🤦🏼‍♀️ the guilty face in the second picture as he turned to see me watching him just does it for me 😂

A few days of lunging and in-hand walks for the new boy who is needing brought back into work after 2 years off and we tried some long reining today! As a typical thoroughbred he can be evasive of the bit and contracted due to excitement. Our goal today was getting him up and on the bit as well as relaxing and lengthening his trot to actually engage more of his body rather than being a coiled up spring 🙈 photos are 10 minutes apart and you can see the change through his whole body!
He’s also the first thoroughbred I’ve ever had that is needing fat camp before we try and ride him so that his saddle will fit again 😂

Going to miss the trouble maker but he’s went home today ready to get out and about with his owner now he knows a bit more about the ridden world 🥰 He got a nice full bath before being picked up but knowing him he’ll have already rolled in a pile of dirt now he’s home 🙈

Oakley is getting stronger and stronger everyday, if he can stay injury free we hope to get out competing again 🤞🏻😬
And back to work again for Blossy now her stitches are out 🙈 she’s looking much more mature this year as a 6 year old!

Behind the scenes this year we’ve been battling with a very unwell Phoenix, my homebred 3 year old Stallion.
He went from a fat growing baby in January, to extremely unwell and skinny in just a month and been an on going battle since, looking his worst in April/June, to now looking like a normal horse again and finally reduced to only 2 feeds a day today for the first time since February! It’s the little celebrations 🥳

A big thank you to all my clients that understood I was busier than usual keeping him feed a million times a day and between him and Alaska we were seeing the vets at least once a week for the past 5 months 🙈 A well deserved thank you to Thrums Veterinary Group who were always available for advice at all times of the day!
