It’s been a month since we welcomed Hendrick, a 3 year old Las Vegas x St Schufro Oldenburger.
This boy was sourced from the Netherlands 🇳🇱 When he first came he had minimal handling, kept more like a cow than a horse on the farm he grew up in. Since then he’s been walking out in hand, meeting lorries, geese, pigs, push chairs, other horses, dogs, school drop offs and so much more. All of which he’s taken in his stride.
We’ve started some very light training, a little long reining, gentle trot on the lunge, walk hacking in hand- all in short sessions ☺️
I’m very excited for our future together, I bought him because I loved his hind leg and power in a compact frame. Which is something that’s important when you’re 5”3 and have short legs 😂
I couldn’t have done this without the support of my partner Dan, I’m so grateful for him believing in us and being involved with owning him too 😊
For various reasons this horse is very special to me, he signifies a new chapter of my journey and I’m in a newer realm of young horse production!
Here’s some of our special moments already 📸
I’m so grateful to everyone that’s cared for Hendrick already, it’s so great to be surrounded by so much knowledge and experience
