Mid-Antrim Animal Sanctuary Mid-Antrim Animal Sanctuary is a non-profit independent registered charity. We rely entirely upon the kindness and generosity of the people of Northern Ireland.

The sanctuary is run by a small staff, aided by dedicated team of volunteers. The Sanctuary cannot monitor this page daily, so if you're looking for any information regarding rehoming, please call or email us.

Meet Bella our beautiful 15 month old Collie who is desperately searching for her forever family.
As is common with her breed Bella is struggling with kennel life but thrives whenever she is around people.
She is a loving, affectionate girl who loves a fuss, enjoys cuddles and is happiest when she can be close to her humans.
Bella has recently been diagnosed with hip dysplasia and is currently doing well being supported with supplements.
Bella must be the only animal in the home. She is dog reactive, so she needs a home where she doesn't have to share her space with other dogs or animals and can have all your attention to herself. She would benefit from a quiet area where she can take in all the sights and sounds at her own pace.
She has so much love to give and deserves a loving home and family of her own ๐Ÿ’•

Marie is a sweet natured girl who is content with cuddles and soft blankets. She is a quiet girl who loves her chin scratches and a cosy bed. She was brought into the sanctuary along with her kittens, who have all been rehomed, she is quite young herself and is wanting a quiet and peaceful home where she can relax and be the centre of attention. She seems to be ok when we have tried her with other cats. She would be suited to a home with children who have a sensible approach to cats. As she can be spooked by loud noises she would be suited to an indoor lifestyle.

We are open Wednesdays and Saturdays from 1.30pm โ€“ 4.00pm.

Reason For Surrender - not getting on with the other dog within the home.

Charlies background was as a working dog. He has been less and less involved in this as time has went on and has lived a mostly outdoor life.

We think it's time Charlie lived with the option of being inside and part of the family- while understanding that it may take some time to adjust to household noises and floors etc.

Charlie is a lovely big soul. He weighs in at 30 kg but is actually quite good on the lead.

Breed experience/knowledge will benefit your application.

We provide work experience placement for students studying Animal Care and Veterinary Nursing/Medicine etc.
We love being able to provide valuable hands on animal care experience for those wanting to work in the field. ๐Ÿ•๐Ÿˆโ€โฌ›

Placement spaces are limited, but we try our best to accommodate as many students as best we can.
