NEWS: Annual Anstruther Festival to return with a packed programme of events

The Anstruther Harbour Festival and Muster returns with a programme full of fun for all ages from Friday 28th – Sunday 30th August.

As well as a host of free events for all ages, there will be the return of the Ceilidh by the Coast and headline shows from NatiDreddd with support from Niamh Corkey and Miracle Glass Company with support from Crowpony

Festival staples like the “Anster Fair” market will be there with an amazing selection of local crafts and produce and there will be a variety of free activities for kids over the weekend.

The free daytime music programme will showcase talent from all across Fife and beyond. This year’s lineup includes Cornfield Chase, Burn The Maps and Edenbank. It also marks the return of Sarah Banjo and The 2Beat Gospel and young locals Definition band to the Anstruther stage.

Anstruther Harbour Festival started life as a Muster and continues to celebrate this by welcoming visiting boats of all shapes and sizes to fill the harbour . Competition for the best dressed boat award leads to colourful displays across the harbour.

The festival also celebrates tradition and heritage through events like their Sea Shanty workshop and Anster Scottish Show which brings together musicians and dancers to showcase the traditional Scottish pastimes.

The Anstruther Harbour Festival Committee Co-Chair, Evelyn Boyd said:

“There is something for everyone to enjoy at the festival whether it’s buying some quality local handcrafted products, enjoying the music or taking in the atmosphere”
“We are excited to welcome people to Anstruther. We’re very grateful to the local community who support us, especially all the people and businesses that supported us through our Crowdfunder, sponsorship or by volunteering. A big thank you also goes to all our funders.”
