Just a little life update for you all ๐พ๐
Some of you may have noticed I havenโt been walking dogs for the last couple of months. Iโve been doing a few pop-ins here and there, but mainly focusing on my other business: Treat Dreams by Rubix.
Iโve been in daily pain since early last year, with lots of appointments, different medications, tests and no real answers. A few days ago I was finally diagnosed with fibromyalgia๐
It explains a lot, but it also means Iโve had to accept that I canโt keep pushing through the pain like I used to. Dog walking is a very physical job, and I donโt want to take on walks if I canโt guarantee Iโll be able to give the dogs the care they deserve.
So Iโve made the difficult decision to step away from regular dog walking๐
Iโll still be doing pop-ins, pet sitting and occasional overnight stays, and putting more time into Treat Dreams.
Itโs been a lot to get my head around, realising this pain will never fully go away and some days will be better or worse than others, but Iโm trying to listen to my body and take things one day at a time.
