Receiving the licence is fantastic and reading these comments in the second picture from Rod Mason TVBC Licensing Officer and Dog Warden made it even more special...

To receive such kind words from someone who has seen my journey, from a 16-year-old who fully embraced life and love of dogs in the boarding kennels to where I am today, means a great deal.

I'm incredibly grateful for Rods support and confidence.

A huge thank you to everyone who has supported, encouraged and believed in me along the way.

These are something I've wanted to create for a while to have displayed in The Retreat, and it's been such a wholesome and rewarding experience to do. 🩷

Every dog featured, past and present, holds a special place in my heart and has been part of an incredible journey. Looking back at all these wonderful faces has been a lovely reminder of just how much joy they've brought and all the fun we've had over the years!

If you've been part of our journey over the last 8½ years and can't spot your dog just yet, please don't worry. I still have thousands of photos and so many wonderful memories to look through, so there are plenty more collages to come. I also don't want to accidentally miss anyone, so if your furry friend isn't there yet, please do give me a shout. I'd love to make sure every special face has its place on the walls of The Retreat. 💙🤍

Thank you to every one of you who has trusted me with your amazing dogs over the years. They've each helped make The Retreat what it is today, and I'll treasure that forever. 🐾

✨ We don't want to spoil all the surprises, so here's just a little glimpse of what's waiting... 👀

After months of planning, designing, building, and pouring our hearts into every detail, we are delighted to invite you to our Dog Daycare Open Morning on Saturday 18th July, from 9:00am to 12:00 noon. 🩷🐾

This will be an opportunity to explore, experience our facilities, and speak with us about everything we have created and how we operate, to provide an exceptional daycare experience for your dogs. As well as tell us all about your dog too!

Whilst we would absolutely love to welcome your dogs too, this will be a human-only event. We want to give owners the opportunity to fully explore the space, ask questions, and spend time discussing their dog's individual needs with us.

Complimentary cake and refreshments will be available and, of course, every guest will receive a complimentary treat to take home for their dog(s). 🧁🐶

We can't wait to welcome you, share everything we've been working so hard to create, and hopefully meet many of the wonderful owners who will become part of The Retreat family. ✨

Parking Info 🚗

Parking will be available both adjacent to The Retreat and outside the Dog Park.
As you enter April's Farm, please continue straight ahead and follow the signs to the right for the Dog Park. You will see The Retreat on your right-hand side—please either continue past and park outside the Dog Park, or feel free to park adjacent to The Retreat if spaces are available.

April's Farm is home to several businesses, as well as an active farm, so we kindly ask that you drive carefully and be mindful of others when arriving and leaving the site 🙏

Once parked, please make your way into The Retreat, where we look forward to welcoming you 😊
