Adolescent Dog Training Groups in Andover 🐾

Do you have a dog aged 6 months to 2 years? Perhaps you’re not sure where to go after puppy classes, or maybe you’re just starting your training journey.
If so, our Adolescent Dog Training Groups could be exactly what you’re looking for.
Adolescence can be a challenging stage for both dogs and their owners. Their brains are developing rapidly, they can experience frustration and conflict, and they are still learning how to navigate the world around them.
We noticed a lack of support specifically aimed at adolescent dogs and their owners, so we created these groups with their needs in mind.

Our sessions focus on:

• Calm behaviour around other dogs and distractions
• Lead walking skills
• Confidence building
• Focus and engagement
• Enrichment
• Building a stronger relationship between you and your dog
• Understanding your adolescent dog’s behaviour
• Meeting and learning alongside other owners with dogs of a similar age

This isn’t simply another training class. It’s an opportunity to better understand your dog, support them through adolescence and give them the skills they need to succeed in every day life.

This is a four week course in Andover running on the 8th,15th,22nd and 29th of October at 7pm.

It’s unfair to expect our dogs to be “perfect” all the time.

Sniffing, exploring and playing aren’t just things dogs enjoy they’re essential ways for them to learn about the world, process their environment and provide an outlet for all that energy!
As dog guardians, we need to continually grow in how we understand and interpret our dogs’ behaviour.
Sometimes, our dogs simply need the freedom to be dogs! Let them sniff, let them explore let them play and let them enjoy being themselves because walks should be about more than simply getting from A to B.

That walk is their favourite time of day 🐾

Pippins pet care services and Riley’s Canine Coaching are delighted to be collaborating to bring a unique new service to Andover.

Our Dachshund Training Classes have been designed exclusively for dachshunds, with a breed-specific approach that embraces their natural instincts rather than suppressing them. This enables owners to enjoy realistic, rewarding training exercises while building a stronger bond and deeper understanding of their dog.

This four-week course will take place on 7th, 14th, 21st and 28th September, from 7:00 pm to 8:00 pm. Each session will focus on practical, real-world training techniques & enrichment, helping you to better understand your dachshund and develop the skills needed for everyday life.

A huge achievement for beautiful Hetti today.

Hetti and her lovely owner came to us for support after she began reacting to other dogs following a traumatic experience.

Through consistent confidence building and strengthening Hetti’s engagement with her owner, she has made fantastic progress. Today, she remained calm, focused and engaged, even with one of her biggest triggers nearby.

Hetti has come on in leaps and bounds, and it has been wonderful to watch her confidence continue to grow. We are incredibly proud of everything she and her owner have achieved together, and we look forward to seeing their progress continue.

A big thank you to Walks 'n' More for letting us do some work against her lovely dog when we bumped into her today! ❤️
