How have we improved a boggy field? Scrape gooey mud layer into long mounds. Reveal clay and sand layer which makes a great natural track. Sow low sugar pasture mix on muddy mounds to create a 2 sided munchable raised horsey buffet. Now we just need some rain. The irony! 😆🌱🌱🌱

Ginny came to us to unlearn a bad behaviour that had been working very well for her at Lluest. Her mother died when she was just weaned. She has just turned 1 but was not behaving as a baby should within polite pony company! Her strategy around food was to reverse into other ponies and kick out until they moved (see first clip where she easily moves a much bigger horse when she first arrived). Lots of food for Ginny and lots of sad ponies! She needed some bigger, stronger equines to teach her not to behave this way. It took about a week. Our horses communicated clearly, but without hurting her at all, that this behaviour was not to be tolerated and if you ask nicely, there is often sharing! She is a very sweet pony ready for a new home. Only 1 and an angel to groom, lead and travel. She has returned to Lluest today and we will miss her.💜 The Lluest Horse & Pony Trust
