Honestly, I don’t know where the time is going at the moment - suddenly it’s talk of pumpkins and I’ve even spotted Christmas 🤶 chocolate in the shops! 🙏 Time is flying - and as the school holidays draw to a close, we enter into a busy time for dog training. ☺️☺️

Please join us in celebrating our latest Client Win — Louis! 💛🐾

I started to write this caption and then realised… I couldn’t do it better than his owner’s own words:

“When we started our training journey, our main hope was that Louis would eventually be able to enjoy life as a dog should — running, sniffing, exploring and enjoying walks off‑lead without us having a minor panic attack every time he decided he was ‘self‑employed’ and no longer needed to check in with anyone!

Thanks to Emma’s guidance and endless patience, it’s become about so much more than that. We now have a happier, more balanced and confident little boy who understands what’s expected of him and who is thriving as a result.

Not only has Emma helped Louis, she has also taught us how to understand him better and give him the very best life possible. Thank you again for everything, Emma. You’ve made such a positive difference to our lives, and we’ll always be grateful.”

A question I get asked a lot is:
How long will the training take?
How many sessions do I need?
How much will it cost to fix X, Y or Z? 🤷‍♀️🐾
The honest answer? There’s no fixed number — every dog, every home and every goal is different.
But here’s what is true: small hinges move big doors 🚪✨.
If you come with patience, motivation and a willingness to make small changes, you can unlock meaningful progress surprisingly quickly.
One session may not “fix” everything forever — but it can give you new tools, clarity, confidence and the next step forward. There are no quick fixes in dog training… but there are quick wins ⚡🐶.
Many owners are already doing lots of the right things — they’re just missing one piece of the puzzle to help their dog understand what’s being asked of them 🧩💛. Sometimes a few tweaks are all it takes.

After what has been quite a year so far — with 5am starts, heatwave disruptions, planning‑application back‑and‑forth and more — in a moment of calm I can reflect on just how grateful I am to have such a wonderful community of clients 🌅💛🐾.

Loose lead walking — country‑dancing style! 💃🐕🦮
After a summer of heatwave disruption, a little rain was very welcome during our group classes 🌧️💛 — which kicked off last week! Here we have our amazing owners of our Teenagers and Beyond dogs, practicing neutrality, engagement and loose‑lead walking in various formations (and yes… I spend hours planning formations and patterns!) 🔄🐾✨
In these classes, we aim to build handlers’ confidence for the real world — walking past, around and in the company of other dogs and their handlers. Real‑life skills, practiced in a supportive environment 🌿🙌.
I think they did great — don’t you? 😍👏
Group classes will continue — keep your eye on our online schedule, where group classes and pack walks are uploaded as they are planned! ❤️🐾

Boring training is supposed to be boring. 😌🐾
Constantly feeding your dog or puppy treats at Sunday lunch is not a finished “settle” 🍗🙃.
Sure — food can be a great teacher if you’re working on confidence building, or as a lure‑to‑place for clarity. BUT eventually they’re going to have to learn to be bored… and it will be boring. They need to learn to lean into boredom rather than constantly look for WHAT NEXT?! 🤯🐶

The more places you can practice this in, the better. The environment changes — the message stays the same:
“When I ignore you, in OR out of the home, your only job is to be bored and chill the f* out.”** 😴🏡🌿
