Scottish Thistle Pedigree Whippet Racing Club Our Club meets weekly (during the season April - October every Sunday from 12 noon - Inch Farm Ki

Whippets race every SundayTrials for any dog are run in between the racing and after racing.We also train young puppies from 6 months upwards to get them used to the lure and by the time they are a year old they are more than ready to race. We hold a Scottish derby each year where our friends from down South come up to Scotland with their Super racing dogs and all compete together.

IMPORTANT UPDATE

Again we have been discussing the cough situation and have decided to be fair to ALL OUR MEMBERS we are going to close the club completely for the next two weeks,

We will reopen on Sunday 23rd August with our charity day, needless to say there will be further updates on the charity day in due course, in the meantime can I ask you to spread the word of our complete closure far and wide,

As usual the health and safety of all our dogs is paramount and we know you will understand our decision,

FURTHER UPDATE,

Having discussed our earlier post we are taking it a step further by asking anyone who was at the event even if they never ran dogs to please stay away from the club for two weeks,

As you all know we have a fair amount of puppies trialing at the club and we will all agree we do not need this horrible thing,

Prevention is better than cure,

Food, drink and lots of laughs, food choice same as last year,

There will be a sheet on the wall in the canteen so get your names down, please also assist us to assist the caterer by indicating your choice of food,

Disco and Karaoke, remember the more singers we get on the night the better,

Voting is now open for the above, voting forms and ballot box are at the club, this is a fun competition and members can vote for any dog they want, this can be from a puppy still trialing to a veteran it's just a bit of fun, the winner will receive a wee prize which will be presented at our annual night out, more details on that soon,

All our dogs did us proud as usual, I don't have all the placings but here are the ones who made finals,
