☀️ IMPORTANT HOT WEATHER UPDATE ☀️

With temperatures forecast to reach 36°C+ next week, we'd like to reassure our clients that the welfare of your dogs will always come before anything else.

Whilst our salon has some air-conditioning we also need to consider the journey to and from the salon. Pavements can become dangerously hot, cars can heat up extremely quickly, and many dogs become far more stressed and vulnerable during periods of extreme heat.

Over the coming week, we will be continuously assessing conditions and each individual dog's needs.

Sadly, 1 in 7 dogs suffering heatstroke do not survive, and heatstroke can occur at temperatures as low as 22°C. The temperatures forecast next week are well beyond what many dogs can safely tolerate.

At Scrubadubs, your dog's safety will always come before our diary or our income. We would rather lose a grooming appointment than put a dog at risk.

For this reason, we will be offering free cancellations and appointment postponements throughout the heatwave, with no loss of deposits or cancellation fees.

Thank you for your understanding and support as we put the welfare of your beloved pets first.

Stay safe, keep walks to the coolest parts of the day, ensure plenty of fresh water is available, and remember: if it's too hot for you, it's probably too hot for your dog too.
