🚨 FLY STRIKE WARNING FOR CAT OWNERS 🐱🦟
Warm weather is here—and so are flies.
Did you know that flies can lay eggs on your cat’s skin, especially near the tail or any wounds? Within hours, those eggs hatch into maggots that eat into the flesh. 😿 This is called fly strike, and it’s a medical emergency.

✔️ Check your cat daily (especially if they’re elderly, long-haired, or recovering from illness)
✔️ Keep bottoms clean and dry
✔️ Use fly screens or repellents in warm months
✔️ Get your cat seen by a vet if you spot maggots, swelling, or strong odour

This condition can be fatal—but it’s preventable with regular care. Share this to help keep more cats safe this summer. 💛🐾

Adopting a rescue cat is a beautiful act of compassion, but it’s also a journey. Many humans don’t realize how much time a rescued feline truly needs to feel safe. That’s where the 3-3-3 Rule comes in:

🐾 3 Days: To decompress
🐾 3 Weeks: To start settling in
🐾 3 Months: To feel truly at home

In the first few days, your new cat may hide, hiss, or seem disoriented. Don’t panic; it’s all part of the process. By three weeks, routines begin to form. After three months? You’ll start to see their true personality unfold.

Patience is the ultimate love language. Let them bloom in their own time, and you’ll earn a bond that’s deep, trusting, and unbreakable.

In hot weather, cats should always have access to fresh water, and ideally, you should refresh it at least 2–3 times a day. Here’s a quick guide:

💧 How Often to Change a Cat’s Water in Hot Weather:
• Minimum: Twice a day (morning and evening)
• Ideal: Three times a day or more, especially if the water gets warm or dusty
• Best: Use a pet water fountain to keep water cool, moving, and oxygenated

🐱 Extra Tips to Keep Cats Hydrated:
• Place multiple water bowls around the house in cool, shady spots
• Use ceramic or stainless steel bowls (they stay cooler than plastic)
• Add a few ice cubes to the water
• Feed wet food or add water to dry food for extra hydration
• Watch for signs of dehydration: dry gums, lethargy, or panting (which is rare in cats and a red flag)
