🐢 Thinking about getting a Horsfield Tortoise as a pet? 🐢

Also known as the Russian Tortoise, the Horsfield Tortoise is one of the most popular pet tortoise species—and for good reason!

✅ Friendly and curious personality
✅ Relatively small size (typically 15–25 cm when fully grown)
✅ Long lifespan—often 40+ years with proper care
✅ Active during the day and enjoyable to observe

These tortoises thrive in spacious enclosures with plenty of opportunities to dig, explore, and bask under UVB lighting. Their diet should consist mainly of leafy greens and weeds, with very little fruit.

Before bringing one home, remember that tortoises are a long-term commitment and require specialized care to stay healthy and happy.
