A little moving update 🏡🐾

Just a little update for all my lovely clients as I know some of you are wondering when the move is happening!

We still don’t have an official move date yet, so for now it’s very much business as usual here at Lucy’s Dog Grooming! ✂️🐶

I’ll be continuing to groom and taking appointments right up until the very last minute before we move. So please don’t worry — I’m still here, still grooming and still looking after all your gorgeous pups! ❤️

Once we do finally get our moving date, I’ll let everyone know. I may need to take a week or two off while we get everything set up and the new grooming space ready, but I’ll be back open as soon as I possibly can.

Thank you all so much for your patience and understanding while we navigate this rather exciting (and slightly chaotic 😂) time. I can’t wait to get everything sorted and welcome you and your pups to the new place! 🏡🐾

RSPCA animal welfare experts are recommending a 'dog lockdown' for the next two days amid the red weather warnings.

Taking these extreme measures to keep pets indoors has been suggested to safeguard animals during weather expected to reach highs of 37°C in parts of the region.

RSPCA Cymru is encouraging owners to put measures in place now - from checking forecasts to plan cooler walking times, or even axe them altogether for a day or two - to ensure their animals stay safe and comfortable.

Lauren Bennett, expert in dog welfare at the RSPCA, said: "The hot temperatures have arrived in Wales and it means that pet owners need to take action now. During a red weather warning, dog owners should think of it like a temporary lockdown for their pets.

"For the next 24-48 hours, routines need to immediately change. This isn’t the time for walks, chasing the ball or playing fetch, or exposing pooches to energetic exercise."

🐾 A little update for all of my lovely customers 🐾

Many of you may have noticed the “For Sale” board outside today, so I wanted to let everyone know what’s happening.

I’m moving home, which means Lucy’s Dog Grooming will also be relocating. I want to reassure everyone that I’m not closing – I’ll still be grooming all of your wonderful pups, just from a new location.

At the moment, I don’t yet know where my new grooming home will be, so I can’t share any details just yet. As soon as I know more, I’ll be sure to keep everyone updated.

For now, it’s business as usual, and all appointments will continue as normal.

I’ve been incredibly lucky to build such wonderful relationships with both my customers and their dogs over the years, and I’m so grateful for the trust you’ve placed in me. ❤️

This is simply the start of a new chapter for Lucy’s Dog Grooming, and I can’t wait to share more with you when the time comes. Thank you all for your continued support, and I’ll keep everyone updated as soon as I have more news. 🐾

No dog ever died from missing one walk🚨

If the pavement is too hot for your hand for five seconds, it's definitely too hot for paws. During the heatwave, stick to walks at dusk and dawn to avoid burnt paw pads and heatstroke, and if in doubt, don't go out.

Please share this vital reminder to help protect four (and three!)-legged friends in hot weather.
