It provides chronic pain management of orthoptic conditions such as arthritis and hip dysplasia. Hi, I'm Jane, of Clinical Canine Massage with Jane, based in Surrey. As a dedicated dog lover with two years of specialised training in Clinical Canine Massage, my mission is to help your beloved canine companion move more comfortably, experience less pain and enjoy a happier quality of life. My own jo

urney began with my German Shepherd, who has recently been diagnosed with hip dysplasia. Canine massage is aiding her to keep mobile and still getting up to her usual mischief! I offer a fully mobile service, bringing massage sessions to the comfort of your own home. Creating a safe, relaxed environment for both you and your dog is paramount to me, as this ensures I can deliver the most effective massage whilst providing a positive experience for your pet. Clinical canine massage is used to rehabilitate soft tissue and muscular injuries which often present as limping, lameness, slowing down or stiffness. It also provides excellent chronic pain management for orthopaedic conditions such as arthritis and hip dysplasia. Your dog may not be able to tell you when they're in pain, but they will certainly show you. You may notice the following:
- Limping or unable to fully weight bear on one or more legs
- Having difficulty jumping on / off the sofa or into the car
- Character changes, grumpy or withdrawn
- Appearing to age overnight
- Problems getting up / lying down
- No longer keen to go for a walk
- Performance issues, eg: dropping poles, missing entries
These signs often indicate they might need some help. If you'd like more information about how Clinical Canine Massage could benefit your four-legged friend, please do get in touch.

Bank holiday sunshine is on the way 🌞

While we might be reaching for the ice creams and garden chairs, our dogs can struggle much more in the heat, especially during walks.

That’s why we’re giving a big shoutout to ‘Good to Walk’, a brilliant free tool that helps dog owners quickly check whether it’s safe to head out for walkies in the current weather. It’s there to make those hot weather decisions a little easier and help reduce the risk of dogs overheating or developing heatstroke.

Wishing you and your four-legged sun worshippers a fabulous bank holiday weekend. Keep cool, stay shady and if in doubt… paddling pool time 💦🕶️

🐾 Happy dogs, waggy tails, and relaxing home visits 🐾

Did you know canine massage can help dogs with stiffness, mobility, muscle tension, recovery after exercise, and general wellbeing?

As a mobile Clinical Canine Massage Therapist, I visit dogs in the comfort of their own home, where they feel safe, relaxed, and happiest. No stressful car journeys or unfamiliar clinic environments, just calm, tailored treatments designed around your dog’s needs.

Whether your dog is an energetic youngster, a hardworking companion, or enjoying their golden years, clinical canine massage can be a wonderful way to support their comfort and quality of life.

Get in touch to learn more or book a session — I’m always happy to chat about how I may be able to help your dog.

Discover why your dog’s muscles matter and how they can affect comfort, movement, and overall wellbeing.

Using the art of Advanced Palpation, I carefully examine your dog’s muscles beneath the surface using our hands and fingers. Through a highly developed sense of touch, we look for changes in the muscles’ natural:

✨ Tone
✨ Temperature
✨ Texture
✨ Tenderness

— commonly known as the “4 T’s”.

This is not a massage — it’s a professional palpation assessment designed to identify muscular changes and areas of concern.

For massage treatments, I always obtain your vet’s consent in line with the Veterinary Surgeons Acts 1966 & 2015.
