❤️ Why we love natural treats

We believe treats should be something you feel good about giving your dog.

That's why we love simple, natural options that let you see what you're actually feeding.

Whether you're rewarding a training session, filling a treat pouch for a walk or simply giving your dog a little something because they looked cute…We're here for it.

Because let's be honest, they know exactly how to work those puppy dog eyes. 🥹🐶

What should you reward with?

The answer is…

Whatever your dog actually values.

It might be:
🦴 Food
🎾 A toy
🐕 Access to sniffing
👋 Attention
🏃 Running
🌿 Exploring

If your dog couldn't care less about the dry biscuit you've been carrying around since Tuesday… It's probably time for a rethink 😂

Indigo's top tier reward will always be access to swimming! What's your dog's number 1?

Training works best when the reinforcement actually matters to the dog 🖤🐾

🐾 The "3 second rule" (no, not whether your dropped donut is safe to eat, not that rule!)

When introducing dogs, more isn't always better. A short interaction followed by a break can tell us far more than allowing two dogs to interact for too long.

Try:
- Approach
- Brief sniff
- Pause
- Observe body language (look for signs of tension, head turns or distance increasing signals)
- Move away if needed

During interactions, we are looking for loose, relaxed bodies and genuine choice to continue. If either dog is trying to escape, hiding, becoming tense, asking for space or seems worried… Listen to them 😀

Good social skills aren't about forcing dogs to interact. They're about giving them choices. ❤️

One tiny behaviour can make a HUGE difference.

Want your dog to pay more attention to you? Start rewarding something incredibly simple:

👀 Looking at you 👀

No cue, just: Dog looks at you → reward.

- Do it at home.
- Then the garden.
- Then on walks.
- Then around mild distractions.

You're teaching your dog:
"Checking in with my human is worthwhile."

Over time, those little check-ins can become incredibly valuable when you're out and about.

Small behaviours. Big difference. 🐾

Does your dog actually need more exercise?

Sometimes the answer is…

Nope. They need more sleep! (especially puppies).

A tired puppy isn't necessarily a happy puppy. Sometimes they're a tiny, furry toddler who has been awake for far too long and is now making terrible life choices. Usually involving their needle teef!

Signs your dog might need some downtime can include:
🐾 Zoomies
🐾 Increased biting/mouthing
🐾 Struggling to settle
🐾 Becoming unusually vocal
🐾 Seemingly "forgetting" everything they've learned

Sometimes the best training session is a solid game of sleeping lions! 😴❤️

Recall doesn't start at the park...

If you're trying to teach your dog a reliable recall, don't make the first test:
"Come back from playing with six dogs in the middle of the park."

Start easy:
- Indoors
- Garden
- Quiet outdoor space
- Low-distraction walks
- Gradually increasing distractions

Reward your dog for coming back - Make returning to you AMAZING!

And... don't only call them when something fun is about to end.

If "come!" always means: Lead on, walk over, fun is finished…your dog miiiight start negotiating the terms!

A little celebration for a very special boy today… 🏵️

We don’t often give out rosettes for our 1-2-1 clients (maybe we should!!), but Paddy is a very special exception.

His journey with reactivity around people and dogs hasn’t always been easy, but session by session, he’s grown in confidence and shown us just how capable he is when he has the right support.

This rosette isn’t just for Paddy, though. It’s also for his wonderful owners, who have shown so much patience, kindness and commitment throughout. They’ve put the work in every single week, trusted the process, and have been there for Paddy every step of the way.

Watching their bond grow has been such a joy, and I couldn’t be prouder of everything they’ve achieved together so far.

Well done, Team Paddy! ❤️🐾

Warning: Extreme puppy cuteness alert!! 🐶💛

This gorgeous little guy has been busy building the skills that matter most - confidence, focus, and a love of learning.

Puppy class isn't just about teaching cues like sit and down. It's about helping puppies learn how to navigate the world, make good choices, and build a strong, positive relationship with their humans.

Watching these little personalities grow week after week is one of the best parts of the job. We can't wait to see what this clever pup achieves next! ✨

Would your puppy love a class like this? Drop us a message to find out about upcoming courses! 🐾
