🐾🐾 Take a Walk 🐾🐾

15 dogs all super calm with 3 walkers in an empty location… this is how a hot weather day is done right!. Early walk and Everyone home by 11.30am. No mad running, no ball play, water stops, water on return to the car, Kaya, Beth and I (Emma) keeping everyone nice and chill. Then a slow walk on lead in the woods back to the car. All dogs happy and safe 💚

Note 1: all dogs were let off lead gradually after the each her done their doggy business as we don’t leave any 💩 behind! We all had very heavy pouches by the end of the walk 😅

Note 2: We are fully insured to 8 dogs per walker however we never exceed 5-6 dog per walker and only have 8 incase of emergencies and our own dogs are included as part of the ratio and insurance.

Note 3: we would never walk as many dogs together on a regular basis, this was an all hands on deck situation to get everyone out before the afternoon heat. Also this is a carefully planned group and all are very much use to each other, most of them we have walked for years.

If you have any questions with our policies or processes, please feel free to contact me. Our dogs welfare and the team safety is our ultimate priority at all times.

💚💚

🐾🐾When two walkers collide 🐾🐾

This is the excitement we see each day 🥰

Today when two CT&T walkers started at opposite ends of the park and met in the middle, the dogs had the best time running to each of the walkers to say hi! It’s so important to us that all pups know and love all the team so we are greeted by amazing happy little faces like these 🥰

Dogs Hiro, Barney, Daisy, Stanley, Nala and Ari all running between myself (Emma) and Beth. What a great way to spend a day 🧡

🤎 Meet the team - Cola 🤎

“Hey Team! I’m Cola! I’ve started walking with CT&T with my mum, Kaya. I’m 9 years old and I’ve been with my mum for 4 years now, she rescued me from Faith, who found me in a puppy farm in Ireland. My new life is surround by horses, oodles of attention, lots of outdoors activities, beach walks and all the love I could ever want! I’m having the best time meeting lots of new friends, getting the zoomies with everyone and watching my new pals swim (I’m not quite brave enough to go in yet!). Lola Pug has been training me up for the last few weeks so I can learn my new job and I’m so excited to make even more friends while we go out adventuring 🤎”

Lead pup trainer Lola pug said “Cola has been such a fab trainee and completed all her good girl training and now is officially a CT&T team mascot. She has mastered snoozing in the car, sharing treats - well sometimes as I need some too! and even helped us out with doggy first aid training! I love having Cola out with me and the crew 🤎”

🩷 Meet the Team - Kaya 🩷

“Hey! My name is Kaya, I’m very excited to be joining the CT&T Team, during my training days, I have loved getting to know some of your furbabies and joining them on their adventures!

I have always been passionate about animals and have been surrounded by them since I was very young, which spurred me on to complete my Animal Management Levels 2&3 at Easton College as well as picking up all different types of experience in different work places alongside my education. One of my work placements was at Faith Animal Rescue, one which really stuck with me and ultimately led to me to rescuing my two dogs, Cola and Sydney from there. These two gorgeous pups aren’t alone though… our house, lovingly referred to as the zoo, is full of many other rescues and rehomes who came to us in a time of need, including cats, rabbits and even the fish- well, Cola’s fish! Another huge passion of mine is horses, I have two, Rumple and Cookie, they too are my absolute world, I spend most of my spare time caring for them, riding and often competing all over the country with Rumple. These guys all keep me very very busy, my life revolves around animals, and I’d have it no other way!

I’m very excited for this new adventure with CT&T where I’ll be able to do more of what I love the most. I’ll look forward to meeting more of you as I start to settle into the role more 🤎”

Kaya has been with us for 2 months now and has done fantastic on all her training days getting to know all the pets and parents and has completed her CT&T practical training & shadowing, completed her Canine First Aid and much much more.

☀️ Feeling Hot Hot Hot ☀️
Temperatures of 30*-34*!!

Sitting in a shady spot at 8am with pups off lead to mooch, sniff, sit in the shade and watch the world go by. Abit of fresh air very early while on the cool shaded grass is more than enough for the pups. No walks Tuesday either. Dog Heat Stoke is no joke and we take it very seriously here. Animal welfare comes first always!

Canine First Aid Training ❤️‍🩹

Thank you to Rachel Bean for her fantastic course this weekend. Elaine, Beth, Kaya and I are now full up to date to cover any emergencies during the walks and sits. Emily will be completing her refresher online. Very informative, easy to follow, OFQUAL Level 3 route available as well as a general attendance certificate and super hands on.

Highly recommended 🌟

Lola Pug in Sports Mode! 🩷

Just when you thought Lola couldn’t get any cooler being the adventure pug she is… first paddle boarding and now looking very cool in her new gear. Never thought there would be the day when I would have to dress Lola, or any pup, in dog goggles aka Doggles! But after 2 eye ulcers from damage and scratches in the same eye from rolling around on the ground and being active in the outdoors daily, the day has come to protect those eyes especially that she will be 11 this July🫣 Her limit is around 15mins at the moment so she will have them on while off lead and won’t have to wear them while on lead. Anything to keep the little puggy safe and well. Her eye is still healing from an injury a week ago but it’s looking good so far.

We think she looks very cool indeed and a new harness (which needs abit of adjustment) to match her new bright doggles. 🩷

Maverick 💙💙

Oh hey Maverick!! This cutie is black lab Bodie’s baby brother who has officially become a big boy and is able to join in groups. As with all puppies, we took it very easy to start with very small groups and encourages lots of sniffing and no running (yet!), lots of practice with lead work, sit & waits, taking treats nicely and more to get him settled into the CT&T Crew. Ofcourse absolutely zero jumping in and out of cars as we need to protect those growing joints. We have been practicing staying calm in the car and not playing by using toys as a distraction and reward while traveling as he is still not use to traveling with others without wanting to be excited and play. Although he is out for an hour walks with us, we encourage puppies to enjoy slow walks, sniffs, going toilet and practicing everyday skills over straight zoomies. Hopefully soon we can start with some recall work on a long line, then small burst of play time with the other pups. No rushing puppies.. everything must be taken slow and easy while they are growing to minimise injuries, future joint issues, and to learn core manners ready for the big world. 💙

And yes… who else is not surprised we have added another Labrador to the crew!! 😅😅

Looking forward to watching this lively little monkey grow up with his absolutely perfect big brother and makes lots of friends on his walks with CT&T 🐾🐾
