🌿 A little wildlife visitor at Boundary! 🌿

We had a rather different patient come through our doors recently! 🐾

This lovely lady was found by a member of the public who was worried she might be injured, so she kindly brought her into Boundary Vets to be checked over.

After a thorough assessment, including X-rays to rule out pregnancy, we were pleased to find that everything looked just fine. 💚

She’s now going home with one of our lovely clients, who will be taking care of her. 🏡

But there’s just one question…

🔍 Can anybody guess what species she is?

Meet Satchmo!🐶

This beautiful boy spent some time with us recently for neutering. 😁 The procedure went very well, and Satchmo came back for his post operative check, and all is looking well! ❤️

Satchmo was a very good boy while in for his procedure, and enjoyed cuddles with our clinical team during his stay.🤗

🌟 Patient of the Week: Meet Pippin! 🌟

Pippin recently visited us after experiencing difficulty urinating and showing signs that initially suggested a possible urinary infection.

When her symptoms didn’t improve, our vet recommended further investigation and Pippin was admitted to our hospital for an abdominal scan.

The scan revealed multiple stones within Pippin’s bladder, including stones of different sizes. Bladder stones can cause significant discomfort and can make passing urine difficult.

The first image below shows Pippin’s bladder during her scan, and the second shows the stones following their removal. Her bladder was also flushed following the procedure to help ensure the stones had been removed.

We’re very happy to report that Pippin returned for her post-operative check and is now doing much better! 🥰🐾

Well done, Pippin. You were such a brave girl! 💜

"Annika is an exceptional vet, highly skilled, great communication and empathy. Never rushes, makes sure you understand the issue and all options for treatment."

Huge thank you to Ms McGrath, and her beautiful boys, Lucius and Cooper. Lucius was very poorly with FIP when he was a young kitten, and thanks to Annika's amazing work and delivering an intensive treatment plan, he is now a very healthy 4 year old chap.🤗❤️

🌟 PATIENT OF THE WEEK – MEET MABEL! 🌟

This silly little sausage managed to get herself into a bit of a pickle on her morning walk! 🌿🐶
After having a wonderful time charging through some shrubbery, Mabel returned to her owner with a large laceration to her ear and covered in blood! 😱 We can only imagine how frightening that must have been for poor Mabel’s owner.

Mabel came to spend the afternoon with us while our team tended to her wound and got her patched up. She was eventually sporting a rather impressive head bandage and, understandably, feeling a little sorry for herself! 🩹🥺
After such a long and stressful day, Mabel was more than ready for a well-earned snooze in her kennel. She was such a brave girl throughout it all! 💚

Well done, Mabel! We hope you’re back to your usual adventures very soon, although perhaps with a little less shrubbery next time! 😂🌿
Send Mabel some love in the comments! 🥰🐾

🌟 Star of the Week: Meet Tails! 🌟

This gorgeous little man recently visited our hospital after a very unfortunate accident involving a third-storey window, which left him with a serious injury to his hind leg.

At just 2 months old, Tails showed incredible bravery throughout his journey. Our veterinary team decided that the best course of action was to perform X-rays to fully assess the injury and determine the most appropriate treatment.

Sadly, the X-rays revealed that Tails had suffered a severe femoral fracture. Due to the nature of the injury, the difficult decision was made to amputate his hind leg.

The good news? Tails handled everything like an absolute champion! 💙 His surgery was a great success, and he has been recovering brilliantly ever since.

The video below shows Tails tucking into some well-earned food after his procedure. As you can see, he's adapting amazingly well and doesn't seem at all bothered by life on three legs. Cats are incredibly resilient, and Tails is proving that every day!

We think you'll agree that this brave little soldier deserves lots of love and admiration. 🐾✨

Well done, Tails! We are all so proud of you.

❤️ Leave Tails some love in the comments below! ❤️
