🐾 FOUNDATION DOG AGILITY — FOR BEGINNERS 🐾

Fancy trying something new with your dog?

Our Foundation Agility class is designed for dogs and handlers who are completely new to agility, introducing the foundations of the sport in a fun and supportive environment.

📅 Every Thursday in October
🐶 Maximum 5 dogs per class

Is your dog suitable? As agility involves working off lead, dogs joining this class must:

• Be comfortable working around other dogs
• Be non-reactive towards other dogs and people
• Have a reliable recall and return when called

For safety, only one dog will be off lead and working at a time, with all other dogs remaining under control while waiting their turn.

Please make sure your dog meets these requirements before booking. As spaces are limited and payment is made in full in advance, if your dog is found to be unsuitable for the class due to reactivity, lack of recall or being unable to safely work off lead around other dogs, they may be asked to leave and no refund will be given.

Happy Retirement Kai 💙

After making it to Grade 7 earlier this summer, we’re so proud to see Kai running his final competitive runs at in Welsh Kennel Club Large Championship Classes. He had the absolute time of his life, and even decided to get his dogwalk contact after all the drama he’s given his handler this year 🤣

Chelsea, our Club Chair, has worked so hard with Kai, taking him from G1 to G7 in just 3 years. We’re so proud to have been part of his journey and wish him the best retirement, causing plenty of chaos in the AnySize ring! 💙

Busy few weeks for our club members travelling across Wales: Heart of Brecon, Pembrokeshire County Show & Welsh Kennel Club Championships! 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁷󠁬󠁳󠁿

The dogs coped so well, especially in the busy Pembrokeshire environment. Special shoutout to our sensitive boy Kit, who tackled his fears and was so confident in the ring🥹

🏆 Morgan & Callum: moving to G3 with an agility win, bonus win & clear placings, including 2nd in Welsh Handler of the Year Jumping!

🏆 Riptide & Chelsea: clear Jumping win, taking them to Grade 3!

🏆 Moose & Grace: first clear round, winning Jumping, plus a faulted 2nd on a tough Agility course.

🏆 Cotton & Sarah: Jumping win, plus 2nd in both Jumping & Agility

Well Done Team Aberystwyth 💙

Thank you Coleg Ceredigion for inviting Aberystwyth Dog Agility to be part of your Transition Day. It was a pleasure to work with the students and share a little of what we love.

The students got a crash course in dog agility. They watched full agility runs, learned the theory behind the sport, and even had a go themselves. They taught the college dogs jump commitment and driving towards a tunnel, as well as the basics of handling skills such as a front cross, before putting it all together in some short sequences, with Moose being the perfect guinea pig!

Kai and Moose were incredibly well behaved, and it was fantastic to see the students getting involved throughout the session. Thank you again for having us! 🐾🤍
