To combat this outbreak which is infecting even vaccinated adult dogs these are my current safety measures:
-Group walks have all been cancelled and I am working with owners to arrange solo walks at no extra cost for those who still require them.
- cancellations are welcome. Any pre paid sessions can be refunded or held until this threat is gone
- dogs will no longer be socialising with local dogs and we will be taking less dog busy routes.
- As always hand sanitizer will be used in abundance
- if you dog has any symptoms of parvovirus please cancel immediately. There will be no penalties even if I’m already on my way. I speak to your vet.
- if any dog in my care develops symptoms I will cancel all walks that day and sterilise. If my own dogs develop symptoms I will cancel until we receive the all clear.
Parvo can be deadly and it is incredibly contagious! I will take every step to keep all our dogs safe, but ultimately the decision is yours. My own dogs are restricted to garden access for now but I know this isn’t an option for all homes or all dog breeds.
