pets in my life ranging from dogs, to cats, to hamsters and ferrets. So alongside 2 years at SRUC with their wide range of animals, I also have my own personal experience with pets as my household has always had plenty of pets.

Meet Angus! A Jack Russell Terrier.
Angus's lovely owner came to me 6 months ago looking for a dog walker, and he has been an absolute joy to work with ever since.

6 months ago today we started our walks 🐶

Angus is incredibly affectionate, playful, and energetic!

His favourite walk activities are playing with a ball, meeting other friendly dogs, and paddling in the water along the Riverside.

A little Happy Birthday to Boo! 🎂

My own pup has just turned 11 today, she has been spoilt with some presents from Sainsburys before I start my walks of the day 🎉

We have a beach evening scheduled tonight ☀️ it will be her first ever beach trip since we adopted her last year!

I’m back to work tomorrow and the weather is looking good for this week with temps not higher than 18C during walk slots. Please be aware of my T&Cs/summer safety regarding walks as I will cancel/rearrange if temperatures too high.

NOTICE ☀️

Unfortunately this week I have seen far too many brachycephalic breeds being walked midday when it’s super warm, humid & sunny, & it’s only the start of the warm weather ☹️

Please please please be conscientious with the hot weather guys. We all want to be out in the sun with our pups but WE are their protection against the sun. Heatstroke is NO joke & it can happen fast.

Shady and/or water access walks can take the heat off however personally with brachycephalic breeds it’s just not worth the risk & they are at a disadvantage compared to other dog breeds due to their airway.

And while this is absolutely insane to even be saying PLEASE DO NOT have your dogs wearing accessories purely for fashion! I have seen dogs in designer, non-cooling jackets. Please only use COOLING jackets as accessories during summer.

She is VERY good & always gets absolutely spoilt with either a pup cup from The Roost or picking out toys from Dobbies 😅
